Hoping Sophie is not offended if I observe, the appeal of this music is not so different from some prog rock, or more precisely Berlin-school rock. Of course it is musically more sophisticated, but there's the same rather relentless search for ever greater intensity, as well as similar textures. The first section brings to mind Tangerine Dream/ Logos Finale. (Mind you, one of TD's members was an ex-church organist).
Her improvisations are so like lovemaking at its tenderest, mostly vulnerable, most exposed, most abandoned, and most unlettered state. Brava, dear lady!
as a complete newbie to organ music, yet a diverse music lover, this is simply astounding. Got to see Daniel Roth today in Providence RI....absolutely transcendent, visceral and magic!
Merci!
