I have the brownie plaid a6 cover too and I am so in love with it <3 my autumn loving heart was so happy! I might get the zip around cover for the Weeks... I have it in my basket and if next payday I still want it, I'll get it ^_^
I spent more this year than I usually do….one planner is more than enough for me, but I did get an A6 with a cover, a cover on cover, and a new pencil board. Which I could have purchased a Marie pencil board!
I also love putting acetates in a clear COC. I have a couple Christmas ones I used last year with the black/blue cover and it was so cute for December.
I wish they would put out date cover stickers, for using old weeks or techos. Also, the covers on covers you have, makes me jealous. Especially the one of the forest with the animals. As for the pen, I plan on taking off the blue part and putting the very dark navy from 2020 September release, and put the blue onto that pen.
First off, I am happy that you are glad for your happy Hobonichi mail! The only thing I love about the zip covers, is the colors. I love the green and the blue! Do you realize that vegan covers are plastic, that when it breaks down, it flakes a lot. Those flakes, end up in the environment, then break down into micro plastics. Micro plastics are now in the food supply and in peoples blood, the liver cannot process these micro plastics, and thus we get into toxicology. Sorry, but I think you should think about fake leather in the future. As for everything else, I really enjoy watching your unboxing. Especially when you do not go through everything in detail. I also got some of the stuff you did. The stickers are sold out, I got my papers today (Etsy seller). I have most of it on hold until October 1, hoping to get the leather One Piece cover. The A5 zipper covers do not have the fold down open pocket like the A6.
I love the way you showed your collection of COCs in different combinations 👌🏻 Loved seeing your Stockholm - I have the London and Tokyo 😊 TFS and Happy Hobonichi Season 📚
This was so fun!! Thanks for sharing your haul! I got the green A5 Velluto cover too <3 I haven't seen any videos showing the zip covers so it was nice to see them :)
Thank you for the deep dive into the bao and tofu…. Can you share where u purchased the cute scissors and the washi bobbin maker….please and thank you 😊
I am a geographer, and I love maps, so someday I will buy all of them to hang on a wall. The movie midsummer is from a Shakespeare play that is about midsummer night where magical things may happen.
There's something about those laminated subway maps that I just love. I thought about cutting them at their seams and using them as book marks or pencil boards. They're not too sturdy, but I just love looking at them. I think hanging them up is a great idea. I actually have to give high praise for the cinematography of Midsommar. I thought that it was exceptional. The movie was disturbing enough for me (especially that ending), that I'm not sure I would watch it again.
Such a nice haul video 👍🏼 I also didn't get the a6 season of hope notebook. Love your weeks, what a nice placement of the tiger! I will have to pick up those glue sticks next year. Can feel you are really happy with your stuff, I get all excited as well in my videos lol enjoy your new Hobonichi! 😊
That blue cover and the Season of Hope cover on cover is exactly what I have in mind. I am excited to see how well they look together. That glue stick, would you care to share why you highly recommend that particular glue stick? I am curious now 😁 Thank you so much for sharing your items!
Hi Two Mice On My Bookshelf! The two main things that make me highly recommend the Yamato glue stick (rice starch) is that it's animal-friendly and environment-friendly. I have also found it to work really nice on thinner papers, like Tomoe River paper. It can get a little messy with recapping when you use it a lot, like I do. It's a solid glue stick, but the cap is a really tight fit on the body of the stick, so unfortunately I always get a little glue that squeezes out of the cap. I know that a lot of glues on the market are now vegan, but I've always been a fan of Yamato glue. I also have this that I bought from Amazon and it was really inexpensive (and huge!): Yamato Nori Rice Sticking Paste- 220g Tube. Thank you so much for watching!
@@ShelAZ11 Ooooh thank you! This suddenly reminds me that when I was a child in the 1970s in Indonesia, we often use cooked rice as glue.....!! 😁 I am definitely getting some next time I am getting things from Hobonichi! I don't want to support Amazon so I will always try to buy my stuff elsewhere first. More people need to hear about this glue stick! Thank you!
Thank you for your unabridged excitement. I wish everyone got as excited as you when they unbox their stuff! It just makes me sooo excited for my stuff! 🤩
Thanks Niki! I absolutely love Hobonichi and I get so excited when I order new stuff, and when it finally gets delivered, lol. I have another order of Hobonichi that is expected to ship out to me between Nov 5-7. I'll definitely do another haul, so stay tuned :)
I was so upset when I didn't see the stickers right away, lol. I really like the calendar, but no matter how much I bend it this way and that, it doesn't stand up on its own very well. I'll definitely use it though :)
Just want to correct you on something. The "Bookmark" of the guidebook is actually some kind of ordering card, which i guess small bookstores use to reorder certain books. And the card is a little questionnaire. But I'm usually using both as bookmarks :P
Me too - the Hobonichi website definitely says that the printed Dashenka design might stick to the vinyl cover-on-cover. A much better idea would be to get some kind of cloth pocket to slip the Techo into to protect it in a larger bag or purse.
Hi C Olson, the fabric is a polyester fabric. It's really soft and comfortable to touch. It's very similar to the fabric on the Small Drawer Pouch (Q-rais: Suki-Usagi), which is currently available on the Hobonichi website :)
Hi Lilly, sorry for the much delayed response to you. Yes, I have written on them and I really like these notebooks! The paper is exactly the same as the Techo planners. Some pens may bleed through, but I haven't had any issues with my Mildliners and Sarasa pens :)
Kitta tape is awesome! It's little books of small washi tape strips. It's the best thing ever to carry around instead of washi tape rolls. Thanks for watching! :)
My sincerest apologies for replying so late to your post. I have never known where to look to find comments that people have left me on RU-vid. I'm just now seeing your post. I got all my supplies, pouches, etc from the Hobonichi website. I hope you've checked it out in the meantime. They have a lot Earthbound stuff :)
Enjoyed your video! I just ordered the same cute cover + the 2019 planner (will be my first from this brand!) would you be able to do a first impressions video once you have had time to use it? Thanks!
Hi Jennifer! I can definitely do a first impression video sometime soon. This year is my first year using the Hobonichi Techo Cousin (A5). Last year was my first year using Hobonichi altogether and I used an A6. I really like using the A6 but the reason I went bigger to A5 this year was because I wanted more room on my pages to journal and decorate. I originally thought I would just use a Hobonichi for journaling, but then I discovered washi, stickers, ephemera, sticky photo paper, etc. It took my journaling experience to a whole new level. For that reason, I will likely remain a Hobonichi user for a very long time! So far my first impression with using the A5 is a good one. I really like having more page space to decorate. But I do miss the smaller size of the A6; it was easy to carry around in my work bag, until it got too thick, lol. Thanks for the comments :)
I have several packs of the mini envelopes because I just love how cute they are, and I've not heard a better idea of how to use them than your journaling one. Thank you!
You are welcome! I used to buy little mini envelopes from various Etsy sellers and CuteThingsFromJapan.com, but then I found this really cool mini envelope template from Kuretake on JetPens's website. You can make four different size envelopes with it! Now I can make as many envelopes as I want using different textures and designs of paper. Here's the link if you're interested: www.jetpens.com/Kuretake-Handmade-Mini-Envelope-Template/pd/4947 Thanks for watching Susan!
