I am a geographer, and I love maps, so someday I will buy all of them to hang on a wall. The movie midsummer is from a Shakespeare play that is about midsummer night where magical things may happen.
There's something about those laminated subway maps that I just love. I thought about cutting them at their seams and using them as book marks or pencil boards. They're not too sturdy, but I just love looking at them. I think hanging them up is a great idea. I actually have to give high praise for the cinematography of Midsommar. I thought that it was exceptional. The movie was disturbing enough for me (especially that ending), that I'm not sure I would watch it again.
That blue cover and the Season of Hope cover on cover is exactly what I have in mind. I am excited to see how well they look together. That glue stick, would you care to share why you highly recommend that particular glue stick? I am curious now 😁 Thank you so much for sharing your items!
Hi Two Mice On My Bookshelf! The two main things that make me highly recommend the Yamato glue stick (rice starch) is that it's animal-friendly and environment-friendly. I have also found it to work really nice on thinner papers, like Tomoe River paper. It can get a little messy with recapping when you use it a lot, like I do. It's a solid glue stick, but the cap is a really tight fit on the body of the stick, so unfortunately I always get a little glue that squeezes out of the cap. I know that a lot of glues on the market are now vegan, but I've always been a fan of Yamato glue. I also have this that I bought from Amazon and it was really inexpensive (and huge!): Yamato Nori Rice Sticking Paste- 220g Tube. Thank you so much for watching!

This suddenly reminds me that when I was a child in the 1970s in Indonesia, we often use cooked rice as glue.....!! 😁 I am definitely getting some next time I am getting things from Hobonichi! I don't want to support Amazon so I will always try to buy my stuff elsewhere first. More people need to hear about this glue stick! Thank you!
