Girl, expectations are WILD things. Especially to us sensative, creative women. What we see in our heads is so rarely reflected in reality because our inner world is so vivid. Hosting adds even more pressure because we feel responsible for both the creative vision and trying to lift our guests up to match the realities of our emotional expectations for their enjoyment. It's almost like a weird kind of perfectionism. It's impossible to meet those expectations 98% of the time. The added added pressure of this being the subject of a video would have created a subtle tension too, which will always impact the vibe if youre someone who cares about the outcome. Throw more picnic parties, without the pressure of a video, youll either find your comfort evetually, or decide that decorating and hosting at the same time is a little too much, which is ok too. X
I literally had to pause this video to comment, right now, in the middle, because of the saw and you saying you're a fan of keeping your fingers. I am dying! lol I am missing a finger because I chopped one off (though not with a saw), and I am here to validate you and say, VALID FEAR!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣 I can not watch mod movies or saw movies or anything where people lose limbs, because it hits too close to home! haha
I have so many questions for Elizabeth and I so want you to do a Q&A on her pursuing her book. It sounds like it all started from the article she wrote; but, how even did that opportunity come to be? I want to know all the things! I think writing is my true passion-the research, the turmoil. I can relate to the push pull Elizabeth kind of mentions with the thrill of the unknown while having the fear of it, simultaneously. Not to put words in her mouth. It’s super neat and I need to go buy the book. Don’t judge me(as Elizabeth glares? Ha)! #LateToTheParty
That was great. So many beautiful rooms which just need a tweak. Red/blue bedroom: There's a cute little artwork behind Caroline which has red &blue in it: it could fit in a little corner somewhere...
Omg the Bomba’s add series is iconic. Such an unexpected juxtaposition to the actual video - after the ad, I was laughing so hard and getting into the ad so much, I couldn’t focus on the rest of the video. Chaos 😂❤🥲
