I mainly play games and record my experiences to share. I'm learning how to edit and improve my content along the way. I hope you enjoy watching my progress! Expect fun videos and helpful guides as I explore different games.
Wait WHAT? The monster potion isn't permanent?! Ps: I see you too have gotten that glitch with Hubert where he kind of like follows you, but his movements are tweaked out and he isn't actually considered a living teammate, as seen in the escape cutaway. How'd it happen for you? For me, it happened after i encountered him in a hallway. There was a rat trap between us, and I wanted to slap it out of the way, but it hit Hubert and his, "ow," dialogue overrided the join dialogue that'd normally happen.
Monster potion is only permanent if you drink two(EDIT: Or I think you turn into a broom actually..), you can also chug a healing potion (light blue) after he turns you into a monster to turn back or get killed by the redhead when you have a rebirth potion. I can't remember how this bug happened but it happened recently with a peasant, he had the animation of holding something with two hands, asked if he could go through a door I said yes and it froze the game! Corpses also randomly drop (Evelius, companions) when going through new doors too.
Made it to the end finally and evelius attacked me… i had gold armor with ruby, metal helm, fist stick thing and a hammer but it seemed like no matter how many times i knocked him down he just ket getting up. Eventually i assumed he couldnt be beat and that the run was just a loss and i gave up and he poisoned me and i died. Killed my desire to play the game. Major fuck up on devs fault imo for not giving ANY indication that he could even be killed at the end. Oh well.
The fist stick is a heavy weapon, it should be OK to beat him with. Using the giant hammer or sword constantly stuns him, keep hitting him and don't stand too close because he can hit you as he gets back up, hit once, turn away, turn back, hit. You can eat the bats to cure poison (if he summons them). Thank you for your comment, I really want to make a decent guide (even if it's just for Evelius) to show he is easy to beat when you know how. Have a break and try again later.
Got some tips to share so you can put on video for others! - Double potion makes effect stay infinitly so doubling speed and strengh is OP - Home works as a storage so its best to invest some gold in to hammer so once you comeback from tower you can fix armor and go back with brand new armor - Once you reach 100 coins in bank you will get full sack of gold (20 coins) per escape from bank which is easy way to profit even more from your survival - Selling stuff to shop unlocks new stuff to buy later so I recomend surviving with pesant armor in hand so you can always invest in cheap armor for your next loop - Throw poison on weapon so it can do poison damage as well! Sharp weapons for sure can get poison not sure about some clubs. - Easiest way to unnlock potions for shop is to survive till the end with Allva and once you either kill Evelius or he open door for you BEFORE you leave ask her for potion, if she doesn't want to just pay her coins, it will be worth it for long run.
EDIT: (It's been patched out) Interesting! It's a debug menu of some sort that shows the seed, too bad I can't see what it was lol. I imagine later they will add seeded runs which would make speedrunning more viable and less luck based.
go for it! I will try again later, I think as a monster you can go to the cave and end the run and the next time you finish the monster will be there to kill for 20 gold. I did try taking the monster body out with me but it didn't do anything, even tried to sell it at the pawn shop and it just lay there lol
Hah)) Thanks for checking that) What is a strange guy with red hairs? Where is he came from? And how to escape the tower in this situation? You have no key
He is just some generic adventurer, 0:55 he drops a thin blue key, I was able to finish the run and go to the village. I hoped there would be an interaction if I turned back to human but he still attacked me haha
He's from the other two lucky tower games, in the second game, you see him tied up inside a cave but don't do anything about it other than taking a piece of his hair and leave him in there, Which is mostly why he try to kill you in this game.
