Hi guys my name is Freddy Flores I’m in the Chicago area living in Chicago Illinois usually in Joliet, but I’m here exploring around the Chicago area, abandoned places, walking through shopping centers and also Walmarts as well and elevator videos will come very soon so if you like exploring abandon places and looking around the Chicago area and Walmart in exploring other stores subscribe and turn on the notification bell so you don’t miss out when I upload a video so like comment and subscribe! And some of my videos I will say “So yeah” or “Yes” and sometimes I’ll repeat it so don’t take it too personal or seriously
My former sears has all of the sears signs outside the building but the inside one is gone. Someone definitely owns the sears because it doesn’t have mold in it and they have a spirit Halloween in it sometimes and a building to have spirit has to be in good condition for being abandoned
Cool fact: If you are at the lower level go by the old lord and taylor. go to the old entrance there should be a door with a handle thing. If you push it you will be able to see the inside of the old lord and taylor
@@freddyflores9958 I haven't been over there in over 10 years so was interested to watch your video. Nice to know there is a Stan's Donuts in there now. May be an incentive to go sometime.
@@HonorableGamer51 yes that is true A waste of millions of dollars to remodel a store and now it’s going to miss out all of the features what Walmart is bringing to all of its stores but they’re shopping carts, their signs and everything. They moved it to the Joliet Walmart because that Walmart was getting remodeled in 2023 as well just 2 months after they shut down the Plainfield Walmart
By the shopping carts at entry, some of the Wal Mart a do have the " they got in trouble room".At our local friendly Wal Mart they his the they got in trouble room behind the service desk at 12043
If you walked into Primark from the second floor through the mall entrance and walked all the way to the back of the store and look up, you can see an old elevator pulley system. I have a video if you are interested: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NXb54zSEAl8.html
@@LeoPlaysMCElevators oh nice I didn’t know that the Sears in Woodfield Mall had an old elevator in the back of the store. Because in the lower level a new furniture store moved in and the old elevator for the store is still there but it’s blocked off and they boarded it up the call button and escalators are gone, but the skylight in the ceiling where the escalators were is still there but thank you for noticing of an old elevator being there! And I will check your video out And see what I missed out when I was at Woodfield Mall at Primark
@@freddyflores9958 That old elevator was removed in 1995 when the store was renovated. The elevator you showed in your video was the new elevator which was added in 1995.
@@Patriciamiliaaudits I like Walmart just 2 things I don’t like about Walmart is that they don’t allow Apple Pay which it kinda sucks because I use Apple Pay all times and everytime I have to use either my Card or use the Walmart app for Walmart pay and after remodeling their stores they relocate products to a different aisle and I have to use the Walmart app to find which aisle is. but I’ll respect your opinion if you don’t trust Walmart
@@daveyroderiguez9552 it may be possible because whenever I go to Aurora or Naperville driving to Route 59 I always see the Walmart in Plainfield abandoned but it is possible that I might film it
Hey! I know a location of a still left abandoned Kmart in New Lenox, IL its right next to a very good restaurant. I have never had went near it but i saw it
@@LuxEv. I think I know exactly what you’re talking about. It’s almost nearby the AMC theater and also Lincoln hwy near Route 30 I know exactly where it is!
@@LuxEv. yeah I’ve been there since the beginning of August. It’s surprising that the whole building in the lower level is still in use and it has the exact same Sears layout but the upper level has been redeveloped and remodeled for a new store, which is Primark. It’s surprising that Woodfield Mall decided to use the Sears building for new businesses to move in not just sitting abandoned for so many years just like the one the Sears in Orland Square in Orland Park. It was going to be an AMC theater, but it never happened.
@@LuxEv.yeah I agree just the lights are off and they pretty much demolished the inside like the ceiling tiles and their lights and their flooring is gone like it looks like they’re doing some construction in the inside. I don’t know if AMC theater is going to happen or they’re going to redevelop the inside or new shops and businesses will be going in, but it was just sitting abandoned since April 2018
That’s right! This sears reopen in October 2018 after the remodeling and the Sears in Joliet that’s when they’re closing sale begin 6 months later after they reopened the Oakbrook location, the closing sale began on April 2019
That’s cool I’ve been there since either 2012 or 2013 and I’ve remembered some changes they did over the years it was remodeled in 2015 and remodeled again in 2022 I’ve been to this location for many years!
The neon sign of Hot Rags at Orland Square, was taken down sometime after my most recent visit in November 2020. Makes me sad to notice that, at the end of your video. :( Thanks for the tour of what this Sears looks like, now. Luckily I did get a picture of the neon Hot Rags sign, before it was removed. And providing it hasn't been demolished yet(this mall only closed in March 2024), you can peek inside the Sears at Spring Hill Mall(West Dundee) just a little bit if you do go by that mall. Same with Southlake Mall in Merrillville/Hobart(the mall was partially built within both communities), when I visited like 1-2 years ago.
@BoratWanksta i’m glad you enjoyed the tour of the video and I didn’t notice about the Hot Rags sign being replaced but thanks for the hidden detail I didn’t notice!
Thank you for this video. I traveled to this store to help out many times and interviewed for my first manager position while in this store. I almost didn't want to watch it, but thank you for bringing back my memories.
Nobody shops at Wal Mart because they like the atmosphere they shop at Wal Mart because they like their price point, not on everything but most things. If Wal Mart has a theft issue that's reducing their profit margins then change how the store operates. A no nonsense approach is not letting customers in the store in the first place, customer orders would be electronically entered into electronoic terminals at the entrances by the customer and paid for at the same time they place their orders, then store order pickers would pick their orders and bring them to a pick up point. Clothing would be chosen one item at a time from electronic order guides and brought to a supervised fitting area to try on. An inefficient nightmare with no theft. Keep their price point as low as it is now and they'll all come back.
It’s sad that the thugs and criminals have forced Walmart…who I don’t particularly like myself….to leave these areas. So many people losing their jobs because idiots don’t care about anyone but themselves! So now…moms, dads, grandparents are going to have to travel to buy groceries! Good job with that Defund the Police movement and prosecutors/judges that just keep letting them off.
Strange, not even Walmart will tell that the real reason is “shoplifting” and since ever those so smart socialistic democrats went so soft on crime and incarnation panishment that including all other crimes, shoplifting increased many times over and I bet you that there will no other store open in that location . Quote of the day: ”the only people dumber than those socialist democrats are those who vote for them”
If walmart would punish the Mexicans who steal. They wouldn't be closing. However Mexicans can't afford leagal representation or understand what they did wrong. They come to the United States and take our jobs and can't speak English. So sad deport them.
