I will never use any yarns that treat animals as a commodity. And as for pairing yarns together, a definite NO! I am 73 years young and have been knitting since I was 5. Seems to me that knitting has become more of ‘look at the twenty sweaters I have knit last week!!’ I have always used acrylic yarns and never had a problem. I refuse to be drawn into this ridiculous trend of showing off the exorbitant amounts of money spent on these trendy yarns suggested by RU-vidrs. Still enjoy watching lots of knitting channels.

Thanks to you I only use natural fibres now. I am obsessed with Marino wool and alpaca. I sold all of my acrylic yarn and I bought natural fibres and I am a new woman. Too much money

My first son was very similar, out in 2h and over 10lbs haha, he's 6 now and in size 8-10 clothes and if anything I knit for him lasts longer than a year I'm happy! I totally agree they don't care much about the baby clothes knitted 'for them', my kids all started noticing and requesting colours/designs on their knitted sweaters and accessories at around 3 years old and that's also around the time they started noticing if I make something for their sibling but not them. Now I've (happily) resigned myself to making everything in multiples of 3, usually in pink, blue and green!

Wow ... I did not even kniw that there was a name (UFO) for unfinished knitting projects! I inherited that from my Grandma😂 .. She was actually a teacher for handcrafts and loved knew patterns. But did not finish most of them, tried out knew patterns. With me it is a bit different: I love trying out knew wool which I discovered and fell in love with in a yarn shop. ❤😂

Some of the things you shared about adding a new boy with a 2yo boy already at home sound so familiar! I had my second in May of this year, and while some things are just the same, some things are so different. My first was a pretty gassy baby. Some things that helped us were cutting dairy out of my diet while nursing, and gripe water to help sooth gas, hiccups, and upset tummies. It felt like a miracle cure at times! Get all the snuggles while you can because he'll be running around before you know it
