I'm an old soapmaker but, I loved this video! You explained everything SO CLEARLY. If that doesn't get people out there to try making their own soap, I don't know what will! Thank you for this!
Chin up! ❤ In New Zealand when we want people to be strong we ask them in the Maori language to "Kia kaha!" Kia is pronounced 'keeyah' Be strong sister! U are and always will be fabulous and awsum. Kia kaha! ❤❤❤ Thanku for all yr hard fabulous work! ❤😊
Please I have important questions. The charcoal you used is the normal charcoal? And if you use it to barth will your body not turn black due to the blackness of the charcoal? Also, what is the need for the corn flour you added? Please I need an answer from anyone
Hello and firstly, thanks for watching and engaging 😊. I use Activated Charcoal, it is not regular charcoal. If used it the right quantity (i.e. 1 teaspoon per pound of oil), it will not run off when you shower and your lather will be clear and not black. It blends into the soap so it leaves no stains at all. I do not add corn flour to my soaps. Do you mean Oat powder? Oat is an optional ingredient added to soap for its soothing and nourishing properties on the skin. Hope this answers your questions. Let me know if you have any more questions.
@CreamySuds You answered very well you are a good teacher but how do I get the activated charcoal? Because I make charcoal from wood. Can I get it from it? Make me understand.
Hello, no you cannot. Lye is the alkaline you need to react with the fatty acids to create soap. Glycerin is only an additive in melt and pour soaps and that's a completely different process I haven't studied enough.
Hello Sis ❤ I hope you and the little champ are fine ❤❤ Nice to see you making soap ❤ after a long time ⌛️ it is so nice to watch 🖤🤍 Thank you 😊 for sharing ❤
Oh the marble pattern turned out really well! When you poured it I thought it just all mixed together, but after it set the swirls really popped! I really like the idea of oat powder too. I remember taking an oatmeal bath as a kid when I had chicken pox and it felt sooo soothing! P.S. I’ve also heard them referred to as ‘cavity molds.’
Oh this is true (re- cavity molds). Haha when I poured the soap I literally was so unhappy because I thought the same lol. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the marble design. And oat is amazing! I really love it! You just reminded me of my childhood as well .... for me, it was calamine lotion 😅. Thanks for watching! ❤️
Hello Thank you for the information really appreciate Right now I am 38 weeks pregnant, I have no pain whatsoever, but I have 2 fibroids near my pelvic. I want to have normal delivery. Please suggest something. Thank you 🙏 bless you all❤
You're welcome mama! And congratulations on your delivery in advance! I cannot advise since I'm not a doctor. I had one fibroid that blocked my cervix so they had me have a c-section. I hope you can have a normal delivery but my suggestion would be to prepare your mind for a c-section too. Both are beautiful and amazing ways to birth your child and none is less than the other. As a matter of fact, I personally prefer C-Section because there was no strain on my v*gina. Just prepare your mind for both and either way will be beautiful to experience ❤️
This was sooooo informative!! Thank you so much and god bless your baby! 21 weeks dealing with one 15cm. It’s outside the uterus. Pain came suddenly about 3 days ago. It’s gone now, and it’ll be gone for good in the name of Jesus.
Hey there! Thank you 😊. I have lots of videos that teach you how to make it. Here's my body butter Playlist: ru-vid.com/group/PLL0FGvQSX72cgqDN1POhNIKv93mLYzsb1&si=c5wUMjwLNgrGS_9N
I stumbled opon this beautiful piece now and took my time to go through and it felt like my story...I m 20 weeks gone and 2 fibroids, really big ... Painnnnnnnnnnnnn o painnnnnnnnnnn..... Then another thing is I no longer eat and it's giving me concern for my child... The pain I think is numbing my appetite... Please you have an idea what I can do about that part please???
Oh dear! Glad to have you here. My first advise would be to please speak to your Doctor about it. It's very important that you do. I didn't experience that but I would encourage you to eat even if you have no appetite. Try eating salads or bland foods if the taste is something you can handle. You're halfway there! You'll do great!
No I always modify slightly for baby. I don't add fragrance and I try to limit the oils to the least likely oils to cause allergies. So Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Olive Oil, Castor Oil, Jojoba Oil are some of my go to oils for baby. But you can pretty much use whatever oils you like if you know it won't cause allergies
Better to let it sit and 'cure' for a period of time to complete saponification since it's a cold process soap. But can still be tested the next day because it's still fine outside. It'll just be soft and also need time to get harder.... and dry.
2024 and I’m currently hospitalized because of fibroid pain…. Trusting God for healing and peace because Lord knows 😭😭😭😭😭… thank you for sharing this positivity, seeing your baby is all i needed for my Faith.
@ListerMbargaUrujzian yes actually but I don't know if it's because of the fibroids per se. It eventually went down after a few weeks and got literally flat. I had surgery to take out the fibroids in 2021. As at the time when I made this video, I still had them.
So glad you did! I was afraid it was too long but wanted to put in everything anyone would need when learning to make soap. Be sure to let me know if you have any questions 😊
@@CreamySuds I haven’t cured my for longer than 6 months yet, so I’m not sure. But don’t think so. I think sliminess is just one of those characteristics of pure olive oil soap. I also made a 50/50 Olive oil/tallow soap and that wasn’t really slimy at all, plus the tallow made it a lot harder so it didn’t need to cure for very long. I think the only way to reduce the sliminess is to dilute the olive oil with another oil.
Glad to see you again and yes I am learning to appreciate most Castile soap now but still prefers the Aleppo type better. I have one of mine last year Castile soap now in the bathroom and it’s a bit better since I used AloeVera for the lye solution and infused the oil with chamomile. It’s definitely a great soap. Love the square shape!
It is called Alleppo Soap. There is a video on youtube. It shows how it is made in the original soap making plant. I believe it is the most expensive soap in the world. My first soap as an adult. I live in a subtropical environment, so I got Dreaded orange spots. Look it up on line. It was an amazing video that made me think I could actually make beautiful soap!
Hi there, this is the lye I use. amzn.to/4cysF8O I don't use essential oils because I don't think they hold up well in soaps. So I just go for fragrance oils or unscented.
