וידאו עכו 2023 אמת המים לעכו Acre aqueduct 2023 ו Guy Shachar ו The Kabri - Acre aqueduct is one of the most significant and spectacular historical monuments in Israel. It was built by work teams of Suleiman Pasha, the Governor of Acre . The work lasted about a year, and the monument was inaugurated in 1815. The aqueduct carried the water by gravity from Kabri springs at a height of about 72 meters above sea level to Acre at about t10 meters above sea level, along about 14 kilometers. It was active on and off for almost 140 years. In this video we shall explore the surviving sections of the aqueduct, from the springs of Kabri to the Old city of Acre. We shall meet open canals and spectacular arches as well as pipeline systems and towers. It may look depressing to people from the outside but when you live there its actually full of green areas all around. Urban planning of blocks was really good, way better than what is built now in Belgrade where its urban chaos. Biggest down is low maintenance, so a lot of public places are crumbling.
