Hi, Dan has been working at his job paving so he hasn’t had time to be in his hobby room. He plans to get back in there as soon as he can. Videos will be out with him and his planes at that point in time. Thanks for asking about him and the plane.
I'll never buy another sig product again. hey are the worse when it comes to missing parts in their kits. They want nothing to do with you and all they do is tel you to ask the vendor for help, then the vendor says sig won't answer their emails.
Your spoiling the new bees 😂😂😂 I would love to have these back in the days mutch respect for all❤ builders 💯👍🏼🙏. And men that go out of the way to make these videos like this yung man 💯👍🏼🙏🙏 thank you. 🧠🧠🧠🧠🧠🧠🧠🧠🧠🧠🧠🧠🧠🧠💪💪💪💪💪
Thats beautiful work. Where can we find that nice looking rear steering pull pull tail wheel and mechanism. Can you post a link for that style and wheel if possible thank you. 💪💪💯💯💯👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Finally found this video of yours, the initial gull build. Man your kit is lightened up with laser cutting. My second hand short kit was solid sheets of ply and balsa.. Not even light ply. I really have had a lot of cleanup and changes to correct ISSUES.. I will probably go for a lighter build with no flaps. It sure looks like the parts fit well with your kit. I am jealous ;)
Thank you for the quick response. I know the red stuff is on the F4U wing is. I was inquiring about that awesome looking red aircraft above your head. Lol Keep up the great work. Looking forward to the maiden.👍
First time commenting. Lovin the build progress Mr. Hurley. I’ve gotta ask though, what is that red airplane in the background? Would really like to know. Please keep up the great work.
From your video it 'appears' that you moved the position of the new landing gear BACK from where the original wire gear was located ......do you believe that will result in any change in take-off/landing and/or CG?
@@Hurleyshobbies Understood completely about following the instructions ...but I was just wondering if you're concerned about the 'shift' backward of the wheels and any impact on balance, takeoff/landing ?
Hello, I'm Brazilian, I was in the United States last week at sun'fun, I took advantage and went to the Orlando Graves Rc and bought a j3 1/4 from balsa usa, I'm watching your videos, which are inspiring to start my construction, congratulations. You are doing a beautiful job. I would like to know if when you wipe the fabric with a wet brush it doesn't wrinkle? Can you tell me where to buy the poly?
No it does not wrinkle I bought it at www.wicksaircraft.com/shop/poly-brush-tinted/ I will probably buy it at Aircraft Spruce Next time Thank for commenting 👍🛫
I got them here www.ebay.com/itm/294555048135?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=Y84WiOqGQ8C&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=Kr4PSrI-QNy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Still working on the Corsair? Or did I miss the finish... I have a short kit of this plane and hope to get to it sometime .. Hope yours flies great. This model is a good one.
My son moved in for a while While he looking for a house So I can’t get in to my hobby room right now 😢 I do hope to get back to work as soon as I can Thank for commenting 👍
Good info Thanks! Have a 2016 chevy express 3500. Lots of battery issues even with the best AGM combo cranking/deepcycle. 850 CCA battery. I will check all my ground straps 👀👍
That looks like solvent pop. You get that if you either wait too long after spraying the primer (flash time +/- about 15-20 min) or not long enough for the solvents to evaporate out of the paint (usually 24 t0 72 hrs at or above 65 deg).
It was 3 or 4 days later Because I sanded it down to smooth it out. I tried it on a scrap piece of wood, No primer. And it still did it. On the three spray. I think it just a bad can of paint. I thought it away.
I’m at this point with my build (sheeting the cabin top). I’ve read ahead and still can’t believe how the wing is held in place. It does seem to be a really weak design. I’m going to add some strength as well.
The last time I built a kit it was 35 years ago, and it was a CG Anniversary Cub. This one is bigger. Just like last time, I'm building on a sheet of drywall and its great. It takes tpins well and stays flat (assuming the table below it is flat).
I take this opportunity to thank you for sharing your building experience with us. You really don't know how much I appreciate your help. Just one single question: What's the difference between this silver edition version and the standard version?
The silver version is supposed to be a faster build and easier to build. I have not built the standard version. So I don’t know what to compare it to. Thanks for the comment 👍👍👍🛫
Hi I,m waiting for you to install youre AGM - engine . You didn,t move the fire wall , back . If you add youre stand-offs , there way too long are they not ? A short explanation would help me understand what youre up to for that power source . I,ll be installing a DLE 35-RA , the engines look similar . Thanks for all the heads up !! Youre videos are straight -up , THX
I only did it to try, because I want to use it on the Corsair control surfaces and the open areas of the outer wings. I did start to prime the Cub at work today. I do have to say it looks really good. I will use it on 1/3 scale cub when I buy it and build it.
Great video, it might have been me that you saw using Mod podge and dressmaking lining. Simply because I found it impossible to source Polytac and SIG covering in the UK.
Bravo, Dan! I honestly admire your dedication. I am watching all videos about BUSA Cub and I will sure watch Corsair ones as well :-) Keep them coming and enjoy the builds to the max!!!!
