È un film magnifico, il regista è un mago dell' immagine, cosa del resto abituale a tanto cinema polacco, sempre propenso a colpire nel profondo. L' asino è super ed è un grande protagonista.
i honestly don’t like it.. i know it depicts a different time but i can’t get over all the creeps and the guy raping her mom and all the virginity talk.. also she is highly objectified in this movie so i guess the movie is sex positive but in a wrong way🤷🏽♀️
Rabbit proof fence may be the longest fence. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Lbnk8wSVMaM.html Trucks are only 2.5 meters wide. I passed plenty of conventional cab road trains the other night with four trailers all with dollies. They tried to put stuff on rail from south to north but it was cheaper to use road trains.
Quiero pensar que el hundimiento del imperio chino se debe a la intromision de EEUU o ingleses, pero si fue asi no les sirvio de nada, porque China no es igual al gobierno de EEUU, no son asesinos , ni roban las riquezas de otros estados
I remember the first time I saw this film in summer 1997. I was 16. I just watched it online and have seen it numerous times since. I love how she doesn't loose her virginity to Nicolo. I could tell, just like the first time I saw it, how her mothers ghost descends on her when she is about to make love to him, to let her know he is not the one for her. He looks evil and wolflike. Doesn't mean he is evil, he just looks that way. I have seen far more evil characters, on both sides of the screen!!
The scenes of the Italian Counrtyside are so beautiful. They remind me of how beautiful the Irish Country scenes were in the film the Wind That Shakes the Barley. Provided an additional reason for watching both films. However no country scenes could be as beautiful as Liv Tyler, especially the way she looks in this film!!
The movie was okay. It had an interesting concept and tried to explore it succinctly, of suffering, death, rebirth and the teachings of the Buddha, with some intersection with a critique on Western life. However, amongst many details I didn't agree with, two stood out. When Siddhartha(Keanu) tells his father that he has to break the 'curse' of the cycle of life and death...I cringed. To view Samsara, life, our struggle, our journey from cradle to the grave as a 'curse' is not a life affirming philosophy, and honestly, I don't think it is an actual Buddhist belief...that this is a curse. I did not like seeing that. Secondly...towards the end of the movie, when the main monk is dying...and one of the other monks is talking to the father from Seattle about death, the monk says, "Every breath we are dying." And the tone is somber and without joy for the life we've been gifted. Really, every breath we are dying? My goodness. Yes, death of the body is an inevitably, but why not say, 'Every breath is a joy.' Every breath is an opportunity. Every breath is a blessing. Every moment is momentous. I do not wish to offend anyone or come across arrogantly, but I don't think the screenplay writers and story writer (Rudy Wurlitzer, Mark Peploe, and Bernardo Bertolucci) had the Ultimate understanding of the Universe. I honestly think the three individuals guiding the reigns of this movie imprinted their perceptions on the topic of Buddhism and death...and it seems clear to me...they misspoke. Every breath of life should be cherished. And when we pass, let us celebrate for we have transitioned. Praise God. Life is a gift. Though we struggle and stumble our way, at times. It's not always easy...but every moment is a blessing...and only God knows the hour, when we shall return. Life goes on. Shalom.
I watched it when i was 18 accidentally buying a wrong ticket . I could handle this movie then as i was immature - but now i thinks it is one of the great films i ever watched . The Americans started negative publicity to this movie as the movie revolves around the american milatary-brat culture . However , the non linear story telling was copied after a decade ;ater by quinton torontino to produce one of the finest films ever -Pulp Fiction
The teachings of Buddha were divided into the northern and southern routes. The northern route of Buddhism, called Mahayana Buddhism, teaches about the universe. The universe is a hierarchical universe called the Three Thousand Worlds, and is the same as the real one. The space of the universe continues infinitely in all directions, and time flows from the infinite past to the future. The countless dust-like worlds that spread in all directions are governed by the law of causality, and there are countless Buddha Lands (planets of the enlightened). Esoteric Buddhism preaches about blossom of Buddha-nature by compassion (spirit) and wisdom (science). The Avatamsaka Sutra teaches about the fractal multiverse, which says that the universe exists even in dust or the pores of the skin. In such an infinite universe, the Lotus Sutra teaches about the eternal Buddha. This is syncretized with monotheism as follows: God creates Man . Man attains enlightenment and becomes Buddha. Buddha, who is an enlightened being, of course knows the essence of life, DNA. When Buddha uses its wisdom to synthesize DNA and Man appears, Buddha becomes God. Compassion, a value shared by all galactic civilizations, allows for an infinite cycle of life between God, Man, and Buddha to emerge. In the 21st century, humanity must walk the path of awakening and make Earth a joyful planet through the development of Buddha nature and cosmic thinking.
I watched this film last night. I hereby declare it the most original love story I have seen… that’s how I classify it! One foot in the dark, one firmly in the light! Never lose faith in your quest… there is SOMEONE for EVERYONE, and I hope with all my heart you find each other! Fantastically thought-provoking ride. Bravo 🇬🇧🏆
🌟 Guys, listen up! This person's work isn't just groundbreaking, it's earth-shattering! He has presented solid evidence that there's no god. I mean, think about it-what they've discovered changes everything we thought we knew about our existence. This isn't just some wild theory; it's backed by solid research. We owe it to ourselves to recognize and celebrate this genius for opening our eyes to the truth about our origins. It's time to embrace the facts and rewrite the history books! 🚀 #MindBlown #NoGod #EmbraceTheTruth 🌍🔬
