Cloud streets form when cold, stable air air spills into an environment with just enough moisture at cloud level. The stable environment keeps the clouds from becoming too tall, and also allows for the clear spaces between lines of convective clouds to form. The cumulus clouds that form orient themselves with the mean wind. Beneath each row of clouds are little convective vortices. The clouds form where the air is ascending within the vortices. The clear spaces form where the air is descending. Cloud streets are especially common when cold air rushes over bodies of water. It is also quite common during lake-effect! Often in West Michigan when the winds are right, bands of clouds and snow organize into lines, or streets, similar to what was spotted over West Michigan on Wednesday.
I really like the ProFlight headset! We do a lot of long trips and after 8 hours of flying the A20's/A30's get really uncomfortable for me. I think there's a little more noise than with the A20 headsets in a piston, but it doesn't bother me.

Thanks! I guess I’m not 100% certain if ground being on 121 is regional. I know that JFK in New York, LAX in California, and most of the airports in the Midwest that we use are all on 121, but I think we’ve also been to a few where it is a different frequency!
Hey Steve, quick question about the Cirrus if you don’t mind. Is there a big difference between the G5 and G6? Basically do you think it is worth the price difference when buying used? Thanks
What did you use to record the video? And how did you plug in to record the comms audio and your voice also? Did you have to use an adapter with your headset?
Congrats on the new plane! The blue water ponds are in fact old mines. The color somehow comes from the Kaolin (chalk clay) they were mining which isn’t blue at all but instead is white.
Stupid Allergies 😭 Hi I'm J and I just joined your channel actually looking for Cirrus videos. God must have known to put you in my search because the next video I watched was this one. My daughter was born at just 24 weeks. She was just a mere 1lb 3.7ozs. She was in the NICU for 126 days total. It was the scariest moment in our entire life. To make it worse this was in 2020 right in the middle of the Pandemic and the NICU was apart of a hospital that was a COVID hotbed outside Atlanta Georgia. I'll never forget the night we almost lost her....... It was almost 2 months before I got to hold her for the first time. She had a PDA (Patent ductus arteriosus) that always set off the cardio monitor alarm in the NICU.... It kind of became a running joke (that wasn't funny) that whenever it went off (which was literally all the time) it was just my little girl who was the culprit. They waited as long as they could for it to close on their own but it just didn't so there was a medicine that they could give her that was supposed to do it slowly and a pill that could do it immediately. The catch if they didn't work she'd be getting transported over to the Childrens Hospital of Atlanta for the same surgery. The first medicine didn't work. We needed the win because between being there for her and taking care of her three year old sister at home (mom and I literally switched shifts going to the hospital me on the night shift her on days), we were just beat down, broken and sad. The pill worked and though we had more peaks and valleys good days and bad to endure, I'll never forget the joy we and the NICU staff felt when the Cardiologist confirmed it had worked. My daughter is now a healthy 3 year old who is strong as the HULK and as curious about the world around here as Neil Degrasse Tyson LOL. Mom and I still wear the scar of this experience even though she remembers none of it. I thank God for doctors like Dr Fraser and nurses who care for and help heal our little ones. Thank you for sharing your story. I am glad things went well. I am a congenital heart surgeon who was trained by Dr. Roger Mee the same person who trained Chuck Fraser. I am just at the very beginning of my aviation journey a whole 1.2 hours of flight time. Learning in a Cirrus. Did you get rid of the Cirrus and get the Citation? Love your channel and now feel even more connected to you all. Hope Anna’s recovery went smoothly and she is gaining weight and doing lots of normal baby stuff:)
