A wonderful film (seen it twice), and Chi Cao is so so perfect. Hearing him speak (in his British English) is a treat, and reveals his determination, dedication, and also his humility. Tremendous job in the film!
She is very pretty and very doll like facial features- she gives off this very bright happy sweet Vibe I LOVE HER IN “CENTER STAGE” shes my favorite one
I've not really been that interested in Ballet but I could sure watch him some more!!! He actually does look like he s flying in the movie. It gives me the shivers watching him dance.

I like Liz, she gone through the darkest moments with Li and did what she could to help Li. I hate to see that they eventually broken up.But i totally understand them. Both of them have dreams and unfortunately their dreams can't realized together. I guess she would choose to stay with Li if she known she wouldn't be ballet dancer in the end.
Its so true, dancing for a film is tough because your audience is a just bunch of filmmakers, they don't know dance and can't relate so it throws you off.
Apart from being inspirational, this film also provides a positive note hinting the country was indeed in a dramatic political transition from the nightmarish version of Li's parents/family being treated as 'counter-revolutionaries' and executed in a field (as in Li’s dream) to a red-carpet treatment in reality (as in the reunion). What a stark contrast!!!
Chengwu Guo is so handsome, cute and sexy and his dancing, absolutely AMAZING, so effortless and spectacular. Hope to see more of him, on stage and in films :)
