What a great idea, building a layout based on your childhood memories. You have got me thinking now about the same now. I grew up in the steam era and used to sit on the bridge over the platforms of our village station watching the steam trains thunder underneath engulfing in the smoke and the sound. Nice 37 one of my favourite diesels what a bargain.
Thank you Tony Yes my favourite loco the 37. I used to do the same my friend sit on the bridge and watched trains as a child. Some of my plans have been scaled down sadly due to baseboards not big enough lol 🤣
Hi Deano I do like the old tooled class 20 from Hornby. These are the old Lima models and it was probably one of the best with a flywheel motor. Does Hornby still fit that type of motor to their new model?

@@ModelRailwayShed thanks for your response. I didn’t watch all your videos, but it looks like you tore down the Märklin layout, moved to another shed, built another Märklin layout and then added a 2nd level for a OO scale layout.
