If dancing is simply a vertical expression of a horizontal idea, Astaire and Rogers had the longest and most torrid love affair ever witnessed. And all to incredible, unforgettable music. Absolute Magic!
Looking at these beautiful dresses they could show the met gala how it’s done, the stars knew how to wear them they had real class.unlike what they wear today .
Rememmber Rogers was doing EVERYTHING that fagot Astaire did BACKWARDS AND IN HI-HEELS. You want to see dancing, watch the Nicholas Brothers. Eat your heart out Astaire !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And look at the ugly trash we have today - Ginger Dresses are wonderful- can you imagine mentioning trans, the filth taught in schools,Americans hating America ,the whole of the senate working for another country,.. !
When Fred danced with Eleanor, it was flat out hoofing. Even Fred said she made him work too hard. With Cyd he made beautiful, artistic lines. We did not for a moment believe she was in love with him. When Fred danced with Rita one had the impression he had the infatuation for her of an older man that went unreciprocated. But with Ginger in the RKO originals... the way her body yielded to him, the expression on her face, that was love. Even if expertly simulated, it convinced.
There's actual movie footage where, especially you're wearing earphones, you can hear Ginger laughing with delight as Fred swings her around. And of course there's always her famous quote "Everything he did, I did too - but backwards and in heels !'
@@jackywhite880 that would be "Too Hot to Handle" from 1935's "Roberta." The audio was recorded live off the soundstage, including tap sounds and the band you see playing behind them. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MsS7B8nyw5Y.htmlsi=jweayf1oXJeckN8s&t=58
