Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers-Making Love 

What I love most about these numbers is Ginger's dresses and the way they swirl and float all over the place.

Not just everyone can do this. In fact, more than 80 years has passed since and no one else has.

I can watch these two over and over again and again and never be bored. They are just so smooth together..Class, elegance and grace!!!

Ginger and Fred actually look like they are in love with each other. That's the difference from his other partners.

When Fred danced with Eleanor, it was flat out hoofing. Even Fred said she made him work too hard. With Cyd he made beautiful, artistic lines. We did not for a moment believe he was in love with her. When Fred danced with Rita one had the impression he had the infatuation for her of an older man that went unreciprocated. But with Ginger in the RKO originals... the way her body yielded to him, the expression on her face, that was love. Even if expertly simulated, it convinced.

I was an amateur dancer for over 40 years, including Ballroom dance. From that prospective, not to diminish all great Ballroom dancers I was observing for more thsn a half a century, Fred Astaire was and always will be the best. Most elegant dancer of all time.

No words can describe those amazing dresses that took on a life of their own! They move and sway in perfect rhythm with their wearer ! Just gorgeous!❤

Fred had some great dancing partners, but with Ginger there was a surreal magical chemistry that was nor present with Eleanor Powell, Cyd Charisse or Rita Hayworth. Eleanor, Cyd and Rita were in a class by themselves, but that magical chemistry between Fred and Ginger will never ever again be.

Absolutely beautiful. Watching them dance puts a lump in my throat. I cannot explain it but it’s a visceral reaction to something. Those two were so incredibly talented and Ginger was drop-dead gorgeous. IMO, she was the epitome of femininity, grace, poise, class and style.

Looking at these beautiful dresses they could show the met gala how it’s done,the stars knew how to wear them they had real class.unlike what they wear today .

the more you watch,,. how great ginger was in high heels, long dress, dancing backwards, jumping, turning,,, while he just danced on the spot,,,, great dancing together, but she was a delight,,, to watch,,,, and behold,,,, and great figure,,,,

Fred and Ginger were the ultimate dancing couple, the likes of which we may never see again. 👍😁 Thank goodness we have these videos digitalised for future generations to marvel over.

They're the same person split in two I'm sure of it. He danced wonderfully with other people but nothing like this. They're something else their bodies just sing together. What a n absolute treasure to have all this on film.

Grace and elegance personified. NOTHING beats Old Hollywood OR its actors and actresses.

In general I don't like Hollywood Musicals but when Fred and Ginger dance there is just some Strange Magic that is created that is so fascinating to watch.

Watching them is like magic. They are as one when they dance. I could watch them for hours

Fred and Ginger were the best.

Never did any couple dance like these two.
