I remember watching this when it came out, and I wanna let you know those little lines and their significance have been living rent-free in my head ever since. To this day, I watch back all my demos visualizing something or other like that in my head for each mistake. Figuring out which choices were bad so you can avoid the lesser realities that your bad choices guided you to before. Trying to whack away the things that are impure about my play and decision-making. I remember watching this video, seeing some lines you added, thinking, "HOW is that a mistake???" rewinding, and trying to figure it out. Even just that helped push me to a different level, to help me understand things I was missing about position and timing especially. This one definitely still holds up, great vid :)
Ah man i wish you made more ql duel reviews. Yours are the best I've seen. Rapha vs Evil would be quake porn. I think you could make some really good guides aswell, small details that the aim gods use that most people dont explain. Creating scenarios to make the seemingly impossible look easy and natural. Too bad afps is such an unpopular endeavour, your expertise and talent in making the top 1% plays understandable through your explanation deserves more attention and appreciation.
We were all very lucky to have played during these times altho we still have some competitive games going on in NA/EU discords if interested; definitely NOT the amazing shoutcasting like in these videos but closest to it since it’s now 20 years later
I remember being impressed by the quality of both the plays and the opponents. Loved the movie back then and loved it as much now. No fancy editing and a clear HUD. Love it.
