Hello there! We're Jacob and Jackson and we are the most mediocre podcast in the Star Wars universe! Join us as we discuss Star Wars movies, shows, collectibles, and so much more every Friday at 7:00AM EST! Thanks for watching, and may the Force be with you!
No. I live in England. 😢😢😢 However, I have randomly picked up CW Arse-soaker for about import retail and Triple Zero for £45 off ebay. "Desperate" for Commander Shinobi and Nihilus. I am furious these re-releases are not generally available in England. I was told by one of my On-Line stores I use, Hasbro Europe refused to stock these figures due to listening to miserable European "collectors" whining about their rarer figure values being compromised. Disgusting.
@@davidedge2828 wow, that's just a crime they don't care to add them to the European stores. Like how desirable of figures they are you would think they would include more people too. Hoping at some point you can get the ones you really wanted for a fair price -Jackson
@@1313Podcast Thank you! 😊 There does seem to be a few emerging over here, but very randomly. I have found a pre-order for Fox, and could have bought Bossk and BT for 2x retail, if I needed any of those three (already have them) but not a hint of Rex, which thankfully I've had for years as well. I found out the reason why when I was enquiring about paying for my CW Ahsoka pre-order. The shop was directly offered around 50, apparently by mistake which they greatfully accepted, and the Gentleman I spoke to was either in/around the meeting Hasbro UK had with it's main Vendors here in England, and Hasbro USA, as they were offering these re-releases to Europe. Shockingly, they had listened to a vocal minority of people who were effectively "protective of their own collections monetary value" and interests, and even worse, listened to, then agreed with, collectors who were complaining about having paid hugely inflated secondary market sums of money for rarer figures and did not want to upset them either!!... I am literally disgusted and furious with this decision. I have personally approached Hasbro UK as well, asking about the reason why we weren't getting these figures, and have been fobbed off with a "non-answer" before finding out from my On-line Vendor.
@@davidedge2828 I'm in such disbelief that a section of a company would actually allow that too. It's wrong for true fans. None of these figures are of great monetary value anyway and the rerelease in the US is still going to bring the prices down for the UK market
@@1313Podcast Absolutely! I'm incredulous over the whole thing. Before I had that explained to me by In Demand Toys, there was literally no logical reason why Britain/Europe would not be supplied with these re-releases? They would have been harder to get here, originally, than in the US anyway! Ironically, I am actually part of the Collecting side who wants their Collection to hold a certain monetary value as well. I have spent 1000's and 1000"s of pounds on my Collection so I would be foolish to wish it was worthless and I have frequently paid very high aftermarket prices for certain, rarer figures, exactly like these people. However, while I would like my collection to hold a reasonable value and I like having rarer figures, I certainly don't need it to be worth an inflated fortune and I would never wish other people to not be able to obtain the collections they wanted, purely out of my own selfishness. I have said this many times before, if you want to make some money, buy Gold, not Action Figures...
I didn’t realize Hasbro had an auto extendable saber back then, very cool. I had a manual Vader version and it was definitely one of my favorite toys…and gotta say took a lot of battle abuse 😉. That Aliens nerf blaster is pretty neat!
Yeah sorry man just don’t want to play as a girl with her little cuddly animal. I want a dude with like some kind of attack creature. Just not into it. It’s just not believable.
Nope, they made no money on the show at all whatsoever. Disney will follow the money. The show cost 200 MILLION dollars. And the viewership was the worst in franchise history. Why would they make a season 2? If people actually watched the show, they would have made another season. That's it, they don't care what people say. The sequels already have shown that.
Love it or hate it, The Acolyte should have been made as a complete self-contained story consisting perhaps of up to 12 episodes if necessary to that end, because a second season was never a guarantee. And I think you are giving the "fandom menace" demographic too much credit/blame for the show's poor reception - - the general audience of predominantly casual fans had already been growing more & more disillusioned with Disney Star Wars media content. I think Skeleton Crew may do well though because it appears to be nostalgic, kid-friendly, non-political fantasy entertainment directed towards a family audience during the holiday season.
It is NOT that we won't necessarily see Plagueis ever again - - there is a lot of time between the events of The Acolyte & Episode I for additional storytelling - - it is that we won't see Plagueis contextually in relation to Acolyte characters, so unless the story is continued in other media (e.g., novels &/or comics), we will just have to wonder indefinitely about the possible relationship between Plagueis & "Smylo Ren."
@@Daniel-415-Ponce I can imagine with what was set-up that we'll see some sort of novelization of the events take place. Or, if they really wanted to make something closer to TPM, they could make a show about the sith coming to rise in power again -Jackson
You mean to tell me that Disney cast members wearing First Order Stormtrooper costumes at Galaxy's Edge are not allowed to carry blasters or long rifles? Damn, that is lame! (When I was a little kid, I had the realistic-looking official toy replica of Han Solo's blaster made of black-colored plastic with battery-powered sound effects.)
@@Daniel-415-Ponce I know right! When Jacob and I were last there more than a decade ago we had Han's blasted and a stormtrooper one too that we used in the park. A real shame that some things are just hidden now -Jackson
This opinion may be deemed somewhat heretical, but I wish Hasbro would someday rerelease a version of the TVC Razor Crest at retail &/or on Hasbro Pulse. It could be a slightly dumbed down version with fewer features than the original HasLab version - - that way, funders of the original would still have something unique/special, and newer collectors or even long-time fans who missed out on the HasLab could still get an example of the vehicle for their TVC collections. What do you think?
@@Daniel-415-Ponce Not a terrible idea. I'm certainly hoping this push for BS vehicles will in turn result in vehicles for both of the lines to the point where we could get ships again -Jackson
Anytime I see a snow trooper I get giddy, so definitely lookin’ forward to the Mando movie. And hopefully we’ll get a mouse droid with lift kit figure lol. Shout out to Rosa, the 1313 mascot! 😂👞
I'm totally expecting all new retooled Snow Trooper figures now. That would be absolutely awesome to get. Rosa kinda becoming the unofficial mascot at the moment but only for a little longer cuz then owners are gonna be back for them -Jackson
@@commandercook definitely going to have to be a pickup at some point for you. I'm just glad the license for helmets isn't exclusive anymore to Hasbro -Jackson
This was my first toy of General Grievous, got it before seeing the movie and without knowing who he was and ended up becoming my all time favorite star wars character lol
Is that K2SO a new sculpt or a reissue of the one from a few years ago? Also, is the Maul the same version (minus the cloak) as the one coming in the Maul-Kenobi-Jinn 3-pack?
@@Daniel-415-Ponce I'm not exactly certain on K2SO. I do know however that the since packed Maul is the same as that 3 pack releasing later this year. I got the Maul on the speeder coming because I thought that looked best -Jackson
