I have a pair of foley folks from 2010, and they are pretty beat, but the sole is in perfect condition and there still isn’t any issues with the leather. They may be yellowed to all hell, but I love them and will be wearing them for another 15 years probably 🙇
Hi! I recently got into the brand… picked up Visvim 22aw Journeyman Pants Tacked on grailed recently… is 22aw the year? what does aw stand for? I’m searching everywhere but can’t find any answer :(
We find them really good as a mid layer. Throw on an Amplus tee underneath and maybe something wider cut like a pair of Hakamas! The down fill isn't overly insulated but will keep you warm from a breeze.
That's just when the brand was created. They started making clothing in 2005. Message me on instagram, and I can authenticate for you. My handle is @visvimtradingpost.
There's been a lot of cases of FBT soles disintegrating. They don't last too long which is a pity especially for the price we pay. And these are not made in Japan.
How old were the FBTs you've seen? I've only seen it happen on pairs that are 15+ years old. Like with any foam, it will crumble if not worn regularly or stored appropriately. As for the "not made in Japan" argument, the factory they use in china is one of the best footwear manufacturers in the world. Seen plenty of fbts that are 20 years old still going strong. Wear them regularly, take care of them, and you should be good!
@@shopoverdye thanks for the reply. If only I could upload pics of those my friends have shown me. They never lasted more than 5 years. How does one verify that this specific Chinese factory is one of the best in the world? Best in terms of? Even if so, unfortunately the same can’t be said of the material they use for the soles
@@shopoverdye not sure if this can be said for most of them. Don’t get me wrong, I certainly hope they can be held to the highest standards. I should know coz I’m Chinese after all :)
