Wussup! 你吃了吗 Привет брат Hola Güey This is my digital nomad diary. Geographic explorer. Food, history, cities, nature, experiences! Born and raised in the SF Bay Area USA but since 2018 been living in the world living in over 100 cities in Asia & Europe. History exploring from ancient to modern history. Indulging in the culinary treats and drinks each region offers. Going to jungles, beaches, mountains, roaming around cities and villages... You never know what I am going to get into. I am a man of many interests. Watching sports, listening to music, attending unique festivals, visiting temples/churches/mosques, etc. Some videos come out near to the time when it occurred, and some are older maybe a part of my "LOST TAPES" of past experiences. Seen a lot but not everything! No plans on stopping so the goal is to keep going! The Earth and all it has to offer from the good, serene, hectic, and ugly is amazing! This is a dream come true for me since I was a little kid 6 years old.
She is a rip off after gaining popularity on youtube. She charged me 22Rm for a small tiger even though l am from few streets away returning from abroad.
I just was releasing a part 3 video about that actually, funny you just mentioned that, I'll drop the link here. The Ming Dynasty closed off to the outside world and stopped their international connections sadly for them that opened up the region to European colonization. The Portuguese stepped in former Ming aligned areas in India like Kochi and Malacca and the Dutch came into Java.
pendatangs from palembang murdered Patani Sang Aji vassal of Ayuthaya in Ayuthayan-tribune Tunasik, fled to Ayuthayan-Muar Bertram, faced Ayuthayan Three Times before interdiction from the Ming Imperial OverLord of Admiral Mohamed Zheng.
@@ThisnametaKenny it was a fun time, those drinks were strong! Cool unique spot if you ever get out there. Prepare for the heat tho, that doesn't mix great with the booze, makes you even more loopy. 😋
Great Video from a Mick living in the STates for 36 years !! Great to see a Yank back there trying stuff !! Watch out for them lassies back there Man !! they will tear lumps outta ya !!
Wow, I did not know that, thanks. I had a conversation with locals before how it's also associated with the city because of the amount of Tamils that migrated to the region in the past. I been to India and the sauces are very similar, maybe there's a double meaning. Good cheap eats regardless. 👍
Hi Ray, I would advise you not to get involved in political topics as I doubt that you are strong in this. You are standing in a village where, from the moment of its foundation until 1988, only Azerbaijanis lived and were expelled from there, and until 1991 had an Azerbaijani name - Okhchuoglu. If your friends would be kind, they could show you the rural cemetery where all my relatives are buried, and I don’t have access to visit them. Of course, if they didn’t overthrow the cemetery with a bulldozer. And so, enjoy, this region of my ancestors is very beautiful.
Hello, thanks for your thoughtful comment. And no I don't get too involved in politics, I know that region is a hot topic for many. I did see the cemetery! Many beautifully carved headstones, maybe up to 100 are still standing. With carved diagrams of the jobs of the people on them and Cyrillic writing with another script, I wasn't familiar with if I could remember. I was honored to be there and to visit this place, a village of my friend, who took me there and helped release this video. He is Armenian and did express the history of the village being Azerbajani and how he thought it is wrong 10 or so of the headstones had been toppled by vandals. I thought some of the footage of the cemetery got into the video, this was over 2 years ago so I forgot. If you send me an email I can send pictures if you want. rmsupan@gmail.com But yes, I could feel the tension in the air there being so close to the border and that past history. It indeed was a beautiful place, so peaceful and quiet however. I am surprised you found this video. Have a good day.
I have also heard some of the Pallavas were descendants of Parthians from Persian originally, the kings at least. I made another video about that , I'll share the link. Interesting about the Andhra region too. Tamil people must have for sure been a big population in the kingdom though, is what I meant... The sites are in the heart of Tamil Nadu so it is still Tamil heritage I believe. Cheers.
@TruthSeeker-zv1ec ancient indeed. I'm just an amateur historian enjoying visiting these sites. The information was a bit elusive on these people so I did the best I could do without being Indian as well. Cheers.
Just to clarify. I'm a Roman and Chinese history fan more than anywhere else that is secondary. Because I know about Rome and Persians at the time, I found some credible resources that Parthian Persians after their wars with Rome and then takeover by the Sassanid Persians fled their homelands by sea and ended up in SE India. Mingling with the local people. Eventually over centuries the Pavallas originated. A hybrid culture theory.
Yes! Of course, I made a part 2 I haven't released at these sites talking about Dravidians, the native people of the South of India. I should release that soon. Amazing place. These thoughts in this video were about the wider global picture at the time. 👍
I played at this court, at least shot a shot, 4 of the last 5 days and the only damn time I seen anyone playing bball since January 2023 in Taiwan! Everyone always plays other sports man, soccer, cricket, volleyball, badminton, sepak takraw, tennis, golf... Even baseball !? In 🇰🇷🇹🇭🇲🇾🇮🇳No hoopers in a lot of the world, but Nepal got some players! Won 5 and 2 losses in that time. And dunked!
A fascinating place and history. That's been swallowed up by modern Indonesia and the Dutch before them, but there's still remnants here and there. Hard to find a beer in this city... But I did at a Chinese Indonesian owned internet cafe.
Where did you get that information, have you been there? I read a book about it in Pondicherry and Auroville. I did notice some parts of it looked like new constructions. The story of it is pretty elusive but the books did mention Roman coinage found at the site and Greek Goddess like statue ruins at the site.
