Considering the services she rendered to the world after she retired from acting, the world owed her a debt of gratitude, for she was once Chief of protocols of the U. S. Ambassador Corps.
Stupid video clip. There's no dialogue! Just music. I don't understand... Other movies that aren't available to watch the whole movie have clips like this WITH dialogue. What makes this one different from those?
Feminist propaganda back in the day vs now. I remember watching this a lot as a kid along with many other classics. Once you start to notice things you can never go back. Well produced movie but early propaganda nevertheless
It took me many years to finally watch “National Velvet” for the very first time, and I ended up enjoying every minute of it ! It’s now my favorite family movie, and Elizabeth Taylor and Mickey Rooney were awesome in it. The sets, the cinematography, and that wonderful house that the family lived in made me wish for the good old days. 😊
Tommy was the Mouseketeers best male singer, Darlene was supposed to be the best female singer. But Bonnie was pretty good as well. I wonder how many times they used her in skits like this.
Bobby was their best dancer, but he was getting a bit tall to fit in with the rest of the kids. I also notice Cubby and Karen aren't in a number of this scenes.
I do not get tired watching Brian's performance his taste of music performance entertainment is indeed awesome! Indeed Blessed a Champion in every way! Thank You Brian.
Long ago, in high school, my choir sometimes finished a set with,”Now it’s time to say goodbye…”. We improvised sixteen part harmony. Our director kind of let us get away with that. I miss these kids, and I miss our director (1920-2006). Music is timeless.
Thanks for this! My fave, Darlene, gets a solo, singing “I wonder what I’ll be when I grow up….” Unfortunately she later did some check-kiting scheme and did hard time in the big house.
