And here I am getting pissed off because Amazon says my package will be delivered between 9am-11am, and they keep updating it with later times, which ultimately ended up being 4pm
I can’t tell you how bad I feel for you and all delivery drivers and what your jobs entail. I appreciate all of you so much and I think it is unfair how you are being treated. I thank you for making this video explaining in detail what your job experience is. This makes me stop and think, before I purchase and who I purchase from. Bless you all.
I appreciate your insider view, but to me, this is no worse than serving tables or serving sushi from a kiosk. Tight demands (amount of order to fill within prescribed time), not fun work, not high wage. I've done food prep, serving, cleaning toilets, and various other "non-glamourous" jobs. This one aint bad. I enjoyed the insider perspective, though.
Being bored in dead-end jobs was one of Karl Marx major concerns about the Industrial Revolution. Having more than one part-time job helps a lot, though that usually means loss of benefits. My grandfather started working for the railroad at 15 and retired at 65. He got a nice gold watch. The whole idea of it terrifies me (though he luckily really loved his work, so that's an exception). My father is almost the same. I have had maybe 20 very different, full-time jobs so far and feel lucky to live in a time when I am able to do that. (I once asked a chef if I trained a monkey to do my job, would he still pay me. He said, "Yeah. I guess so". He never for a moment questioned whether a monkey could do my job there.)
After watching this, I have a good feeling about you. Can you start on Monday? (The van should be loaded and ready to go when you first get into it. Whose bright idea was it to sit in line waiting?)
IDONT KNOW HOW YOU AMAZON DRIVERS DO IT. Ive been a customer of Amazon for almost 13 years. I got tired of the changing customer service bots and automated customer service... then came Fedex, I don't who is worse, Fedex or a lazy amazon driver. Not all Amazon drivers are lazy mind you BUT I have had items stolen from me as was a Fedex drive that still my apple iPhone... top that !!
Prestin, you put some real insight on what happens and how are packages get to us and never was negative. You're going to be a wealthy man in your future as you have an awesome mindset. Also reminds me to be more appreciative of the drivers. Question though, are the drivers permitted to accept tips?
The price of a material consumerism society. Once you get old they just steal everything you acquired while young and throw you away like garbage. This is modern day slavery.

It is disgusting and unprofessional that drivers urinate in bottles and leave it in the van. Drivers need to make time to use the bathroom. They should take the opportunity to use the bathroom at businesses, restaurants, supermarkets, and buildings. They should also take a meal break. Human beings are not robots who can work for hours without a break.
Man i work for Amazon one day and quit. I started during covid time. No training just threw me to the wolves. I didn’t get done until late. They sent someone to take some of packages. He told me I was on the worst routes. Never again!!!
Real fact, Depending on DSP & The location of the fulfillment center, Your DSP can release you if you fail your 1st Route after Your nursery weeks (Even if your in an Area where both Cellular data and Sat/Nav issues are slowing down your pace because you don't have the service to use the app or the navigation dose not scale you at all, and you get 2 rescues and 1 of your rescues comes after you like a shark as your the mino in the pool, even if you take a late lunch because of challenges, This DSP goes by a tracking robot kinda like the price-is-right Cliffhangers racing system and if the robot beats the drivers time to finish, dispatch gives a hard time for returning late, and thay don't understand the Cellular/Data Sat/Nav issues in downtime and will already say you dont have it for a big route and give you walking papers. Sat/Nav and Cellular issues in your route can get you separated from your DSP witch really has happened in the Budd Lake NJ Area Today.
It's a good thing you made this video because at one point I was considering applying as a 2nd source of income...otherwise I'm sticking to my one job where I get a lot of overtime.very convenient for me and I don't have to deal with Amazon corporate controversy drama.😊 I get a bi-weekly paycheck for $2,300 after tax with overtime so I'm good.
I only worked there for a month. My first day was horrible. I was all alone and took me 30 minutes walking around to find the first apartment 😂fuck Amazon.
just think if each customer left these folks a $1 tip!!! just one dollar folks changes a delivery drivers' life. so dig deep and leave the man a tip for all you dirtbags I will leave a couple extra to make up for your stupid
