What you went through 2 years ago represents my current day life! This is Day 3 post-op from my laparoscopic hysterectomy and I’m so glad that my lowest, “down in the dumps” emotions have been validated. The incision pain, the gas pains, THE CONSTIPATION… all of it has me in tears. I’m 53, was in menopause for 2 years and had developed uterine fibroids. I know that this was the best decision for my situation, but I have been second guessing this every second of the day for the past 72 hours. Thank you for taking the time to document this for the rest of us to hear and understand. Thank you for being so true, so honest and helpful. It reminds us that we’re not alone in this journey.

I have my surgery in 4 weeks. Even if recovery is awful… honestly dealing with all of this shit for years.. It can’t be much worse 🤷‍♀️ I’m in Awful pain half of the month like I have to have help just walking to the bathroom. And I’m EXHAUSTED every single day. I think most people who have to have this done have already been to the pits of hell. I’m expecting the worst and hoping for the best❤ Thanks for all the info

It was challenging and unbearable because of how critical my health situation was. but I am grateful and happy to have ordered Dr Aluda herbal supplements on RU-vid which I used and it shrunk my multiple fibroids completely⚡️⚡️⚡️

Always do your research before considering a hysterectomy. I cancelled mine after researching natural ways to shrink my fibroid

Hi there, just happened upon your videos on your hysterectomy in doing research. Really appreciate you posting it, and how this tupe of surgery is like. Noticed it's been 2yrs, how do you feel now? I am considering having the surgery since i have painful periods etc. Just concerned about many of the things you mentioned already in the video, but also concerned about later stuff like how sex is with no cervix, the risk of prolapse after a few years, vaginal dryness, do the mood swings get better, metabolism slows down, weight gain due to less hormone production, etc. These are things I have read that could be a concern. Just curious to see how your experience has been now after a couple of years.

I had a Myomectomy a month ago. I had no pain after, but I did get Ileus (lazy bowel), which was the worst. But I'm much better now. I'm also still dealing with GERD from not eating before and after surgery

I had robotic hysterectomy 10 days ago and I will tell u the first 2 days were hell and the only thing that gave me relief was a heating pad on my back.I will say I only took one oxycodone at the hospital before leaving and took nothing else for pain because my pulse rate and oxygyn level dropped very low so i was scared to take anything. It all normalized on the 3 day. Also i was expecting to hurt in my stomach but nope it was really horrible back pain.Again heating pad to the back helped me.Do not put a heating pad on your stomach u need ice for that.Oh and I did not need really any pads.I lightly spotted for 2 days then nothing.

I am scared. I am having radical hysterectomy with lymph nodes mapping due to Endometrial Atypical Hyperplasia. I was confused when my oncologist recommended hysterectomy (removing everything). I am debating is radical hysterectomy is the right treatment. Has anyone had similar diagnosis?

I went to see a doctor myself and she is suggesting a hysterectomy. I have lived with the bad pain too. I go for an ultrasound to see if robotic surgery would be the option to remove my womb. After finding out what my mom and my friends went through, I actually look forward to having the hysterectomy. I was diagnosed with fibroids and an enlarged uterus.

Thanks for sharing all the highes and lowes of your surgery. I got my date yesterday - I've got 3 weeks - total hysterectomy with oophorectomy - and it's been great listening to recovery stories that are real. I'm excited to have it done....and terrified of it at the same time!

I can definitely relate to the situation that you were going through. I am 36 yrs old and I just had a robotic hysterectomy. I am now 2 weeks post surgery. I had painful periods and the bleeding and blood clots was just terrible. I was diagnosed with a condition called adenomyosis several years ago. I had tried different types of birth control pills some of which helps but I was in a different metal state after a while. After speaking to a different Obgyn from the one I had back home in Jamaica, he understood exactly what I was going through. I even showed him a picture of a big clot that dropped out on my pad before I was able to make it to the bathroom . I always hear about the hysterectomy procedure, however I was a little scared but after he explained to me the ins and out of what the procedure entails it was a no brainer for me. For one, I have a 16 yr old son and I’m married. My husband and I spoke about it and he was also relieve for him to hear that I was going to get the procedure done.He was so worried about me and he just never knew what to do to help. He hated to see what I was going through.During my surgery the doctor found out I had fibroids, which was alarming because all the years of going to my Obgyn and running all sorts of test and even biopsies, no one told me I had fibroids but I’m thankful he was able to remove it. It was a big one too. I am already feeling great mentally and physically but a little sore on the inside. I am definitely taking my time to heal. I hope that you are now in a better place mentally and physically. God bless you.🙏🙏🙏

Told my doc for years my discomfort and heavy bleeding. I kept getting the run around that many women go through this and i just have to endure it. Moral of the story; get a doc that will listen!!!!! I had pain, dullnes like someone kicked me in the lower abdomen. My hubby went to see his parents for 3 weeks. I closed the blinds and went on the couch with heating pad. I went to the ER cuz i was alone and thought i would pass out with no one there. They gave me a hormone and bleeding stopped a few days later. So...a period for 3 weeks going through sz 5 pads every 40 minutes or if i coughed. I was weighing yhe pads. Turns out i have 3 kinds of fibroids, 1 extended 2 cm above the uterus. I have cysts, endomyosis and endometrial polyps. How could anyone hold a darn job with this. Hystorectomy next month. Yay! Hallelujah. What would i do if it were the 1800's with no surgery??? I would just have to die.

I am three days post radical hysterectomy. Any trepidation I had about this surgery has completely disappeared given what was found in pathology. Today I was informed that pathology found Stage 1 cervical and uterine cancer. It’s such a rare form of reproductive cancer that detecting it during routine annual screenings is nearly impossible. Usually, once it has reached the detectable level during a routine screening, it’s too late and usually stage 4 cancer. I went in expecting one diagnosis only to be told something far more frightening after pathology. While this isn’t an amazing experience physically, I am so grateful that there were clear margins around what was removed and I will probably never have to worry about any reproductive cancers after a year of in-depth testing. I think everyone was shocked at the diagnosis including the surgeon. I knew something wasn’t right and given my family history, a radical hysterectomy was the best course of preventative action for me (age 52 and mother of 7 adult children). Had I put this surgery off, as I am often want to do, I shudder to think what my body would have had to endure if I just let my symptoms go unchecked. Women may not know exactly what is wrong but they definitely are aware when something isn’t quite right with our body. Ladies, listen to your gut instincts. It can literally save your life as it has saved mine. PS….. I am also a Baltimore native… howdy neighbor. I’m glad you’re sharing your experience and progressing in a healthy way.😊
