Chemical Engineering is chemicals + $$ = new chemicals + $$$$. One must keep in mind how government suffers from arrested thinking. This translates into stupid actions such as making ethanol from corn, takes more energy to do so than the energy received from burning ethanol and this government current battery car fetish. We are looking at the results of "Chevron Deference" to shutdown nitwit rules in the US EPA and make Congress do their job, so we can do our jobs.
Great overview. I like how you're really specific about what to say to prospective clients and how to create a pricing structure. Can you teach us how to integrate the use of a tablet for working out problems into a Zoom session? Do you use a regular Android tablet or do you use something made for drawing/drafting like a Wacom or Bamboo? Thanks!
If you want to be a successful engineer, you need to go to the field and familiarize yourself with the actual processes and operations. While drawings and models may look flawless, they don't hold much value if they are not practical or safe for real-world implementation. I've witnessed numerous design issues arise because the engineer of record (EOR) failed to properly verify the field conditions, resulting in costly and time-consuming fixes. surround yourself with experienced individuals, such as operators, technicians. Don't be afraid to ask questions or even make mistakes - the initial learning curve may feel overwhelming, but it's through these experiences that you'll truly gain the knowledge and expertise.
Hi, I need to use credentials of an IAM role or an IAM user? I have this error: ERROR: Can't invoke 'anthropic.claude-v2'. Reason: An error occurred (AccessDeniedException) when calling the Converse operation: You don't have access to the model with the specified model ID.
Do you typically work from home at your job? I’m majoring in ChemE and starting college in a month and honestly I have no clue about what I’m getting myself into.
please can you do a video of integrating the chatbot on your website? I want my customers to be able to see the chatbot when they click on my website, so that they can ask it questions about my product
Hey i finally got a relevant video on chemical engineering skills i m gonna start my first year in August can u pls make a vdo about road map which we need to follow or like a uk rough idea so that we know how much to cover in each year or work specifically in particular year to get a good on campus or off campus placement thankss !! I m going in a tier 1 college
Heyy guys so i want to get into ChemE but I'm so scared because i didn't do Physics at Alevel(did BioChemMath)and i wouldn't say that Math is my strongest suite so I'm at crossroads since i want to go into drug synthesis
2024, currently a HS freshman ( a rising sophomore ) I want to go to medical school. I did more research and found out chemical engineering is more beneficial than pre-med. Thanks for the advise!
Guess what! You are not the only “idiot”! I actually a bigger idiot than you. I graduated without knowing what chemical engineers actually do. Thinking that I have to get my hands dirty and smelling the same chemicals every day and being on call for problems scares me 😨 I am thinking what else I can do with my degree (with student debts looming over my head)😢
This is my second or maybe third time watching this and each time is better than the last! I'm in my 3rd year of ChemE (got off a 5'sh month Co-Op before this semester) Awesome video Shawn, thanks a million for posting this! I've got 4 courses next semester: ChemE Processes Lab, Multiple Scale Material Science, Reaction Engineering, and Analytical Techniques II (AnTech I was with Excel but AnTech II is pretty much doing that stuff in MATLab) Shoutout to all my fellow ChemE's! :D
As a junior who’s interested about chE, and knows not alot. What courses should i take and be aware of? And what skills, projects, things should i immediately try to get a hold of?
I just completed my second year..i,'m not able to understand everything. .still can you Tell me at this point of tym what should I do nd What all skill should I lear at this point of tym
Chugging absurd amounts of caffeine every day is a trap I fell into too. I'm still struggling with my habits. I got in the 80s in organic chemistry, A- and A. B+ in material and energy balance.
@@mini_xol I am a first year student pursuing chemical engineering have scored very less in my first year i have 7 cgpa what are the things I should focus on and skills I should learn
Stay away from this useless major. Only go if you are sure that you or your family has contacts that would assist you to get employed in this field. Or depending on the place where you live and what ethnicity / Nationality you belong to.
Your videos are really insightful, I’m hoping to study chemical engineering next year. I’m mainly interested in petrochemicals and their potential replacements, though I would like to work in any other chemical manufacturing industry.
