Yes we have a Shivvers grain dryer system in one of are bins. We typically do not store any beans we forward contact and send them off the field. Couple reasons usually not much of any carry in the market for beans, and it seems like they have a fair amount of shrink in the bin.

We take our wheat on the wet side. Couple reasons first one is we have the highest quality if we take it before it gets a rain on it. If you get a rain on it after it's dry standing in the field you lose test weight, which equals bushels. Second reason we can start a little earlier.
Since the chopped straw drops into the stubble which means less of a fire hazard, why not follow the combine with a truck and unload into it on the go-? Less augering means less fines in the grain. Other crops load into trucks on the go from the harvester.
Haha yes he absolutely loves that hat u sent him he thought he lost it the other day and was pretty worked up about it. He keeps pretty close tabs on it.
Was over in ND this weekend. LOTS of wheat coming off the north end of the RRV today (Sunday). Glad to be back home in Say-Lo! I pray you and all the other farmers have a safe, productive and speedy harvest season!
