If your glossy photos scans come out with newton rings I guess GoogleScan is the only way to go. You never mentioned this kind of problem which is very popular among flatbed scanners.
Hi! Thanks for the information. I know I am a little late to the party. LOL. My question is this: After I have completed the transfer of my old photos to my computer, should I delete them all off of the PhotoScan app before I begin to use the app again for a new project?
As I was watching the video I thought the same thing. Maybe he had some notes he was reading from? Either way, looks very bad and unprofessional. Plus, he needs a mic. All the signs of someone who doesn't do RU-vid for a living....
The buttons are still there, albeit initially invisible. I happen to remember where they are from the years I used this software under older versions of Windows. If I click where I remember the button to be, the button appears on the screen (but is also treated as pushed, so I have to be careful not to click a wrong invisible button). It then stays visible until I close the software. Next time I load it, I have to go button hunting again.
WOW! Profesional, excelso, impresionante, muchas gracias por compartir tus conocimientos. Pulgares arriba y me suscribo a tu canal. Saludos y bendiciones desde Puebla, México.
I got the answer I was looking for. Thank you! However, I will continue to use Photo Scan for scanning old photos that have faded and taken some damage. It's also more practical when doing a whole photo album, because it's possible to get very reasonable quality without taking the photos out from behind the plastic. I would recommend, as you said, to use a proper scanner for professional work or for printing/viewing the originals at much larger sizes.
So if I scanning photos from the 60's and 70's to current day... what is the easiest way to capture and sort... and is a professional scanner going to make a difference on these types of photos? They aren't the best resolution to begin with. So any other recommendations for app or scanner? Learning a lot from your videos. Thank you 😊
Absolutely loved it! Didn't even wanted to start because it looked so difficult but worked out at the end very well!My first restoration practice is done now! Thank you!
For some reason my Epson scan software when in professional mode doesn’t offer the color restoration, backlight correction, de screening, digital ICE options using MacOSx Sierra 10.12.6. Updating from Epson website doesn’t help.
I know this comment has been written a while ago. Have you been able to figure out how to fix it? I’m having the same issue and I cannot find a solution anywhere online
Thank you for this video! Please do an update video. Pleeeessssssseeee I think Google has improved the light reflection removal algorithm. And cell phone cameras are getting better and better. However, Google has changed the app to add a watermark frame around the picture, but if uploaded to Google Photos the watermark goes away.
I just fired up my old EPSON 1640SU scanner to attempt to scan a box of old slides I have. I was able to download the latest driver for my MacBook Pro (hear that Canon? Why did you brick my old printer?). Anyway, I can’t find a working link for EPSON Scan. Help?
The use case I see for the photoscan (and the one it's advertised for) is archiving old photos such as those taken on film or those of which you don't have a digital version of, is the flatbed better? Yes but google photoscan is good enough
@@chrislocust8245 It always depends on what you use it for. If you'd like the best possible result for later use you should put in some (hard) work! :D (Then the google photoscan app is probably nothing for high quality archives!)
