the reason why the vengeance resembles a dave mustaine signature so much is cuz it is lol when dave left dean for gibson , Dean re released both daves signiture body shapes and took him out of the picture hence why the vengeance was released with the quote back with a vengeance and the zero with the quote zero fu*cks given kinda like telling dave we could care less you left we still own the body shapes to your signature and we will bring them back with a face lift and take u out of the equation lol
Great demo! Tried out the Floyd version yesterday (it came home with me!) but I was shocked at how much more meat the neck has than the super wizards which I’ve not gone on with in the past. In fact the Charvel DK24-7 Nova is much more Ibanez wizard than this guitar!
Modeling amps have made guitar players into whiny babies that don’t even know what they are looking for. Not you good sir thanks for the great review. All these modelers are great. Pick one. Play.
The Valeton is a great piece of kit at half the price of a Helix. If you are just a hobbyist guitar player it will do everything you need and then some. Some people are avid knob twiddlers who never ever come up with a half way decent tune and hide behind a wall of distortion and effects. The Valeton is loaded with excellent sounds including very useable jazz guitar and acoustic simulations as well as the usual over egged distortion for the wannabe dayglo Lycra clad rock god in the back bedroom stage.
I use a Catalyst 100 as part of a two-combo system. Both combos are stacked on top of each other, and I just use their power amps to take a signal from a Helix Floor. It's ridiculously cheap as a guitar-dedicated powered speaker when pre-amped right. I must admit I use a Tweed Fender Blues Deluxe on top of it. Sounds quite good, really. It's the sort of amp it's always useful to have around.
I have the GT-1, and I'm very happy with it. But I just got the Pocket GT too, because I can share the same tones across. And the ability to load up backing tracks on my phone is awesome for practice. Great device ( Ii wonder if there is a Boss bluetooth pedal that can be linked? - haven't had time to look at that yet).
I'm also a Headrush core user from the first moment it came out. For me, it contains everything a modern modeler should have. Before I used the Kemper for years and Fractal AxeFX. The sound quality is at the core the same level or even better. And the handling is wonderful! I'm a big fan of this product and even when there are not so much updates...till now I didn't use 60% of what's possible with this modeler!
Hi maybe a stupid question but can you plug this unit direct into a speaker cab without going through any external amp and just using the amps on the unit
There are no silly questions! This cannot be plugged directly into a traditional guitar speaker cabinet as it's only a digital modeller without a built in Power Amp. You'd ideally want to use an FRFR speaker with a built in Power Amp or you could use a seperate pedal Power Amp like I'm doing here but that would stop you being able to use any IR's/Cabsims in the unit.
Is the core had the same problem like rainbow death? I want to buy but still not sure since i read about the rainbow death of most of the headrush including the prime and the core.
I'm aware. Japan in general has a great attitude towards valuing experience (Look up Lexus' Takumi craftsman it's even more nuts something like 10 Years experience required). Still doesn't explain how shoddy some parts of this guitar were and how many others commented with similar experiences though?
Have you tried a spot of nut lube in the groves? I love solar. I have 3 of them. Lower tunings require a lighter touch, they stay in tune better with less finger pressure. Sorry if you already know this, no offense to you, just a suggestion.
I appreciate the suggestion! I actually have a tube of Nut Sauce i've used on other guitars with plastic nuts/poor tuning stability but I've never found it fixes the problem fully unfortunately.
I have a full Amplitube rig setup and love this unit - it's super easy to set up and edit patches. The only thing it's missing for me would be more foot controllers or an option to use my Behringer midi Controller. Other than that, this unit is awesome-sounding and really sounds killer!

There's a reason after 25 years of playing, I still have all of my Ibanez RGs in my collection. A 2002 Korean RG320, 2004 Japan RG7420, RG 2570 and RGA32, set to different tunings. I've owned all of them for more than 12 years. None of them have wanted anything other than a pick-up swap and yearly fettle. The body just feels so balanced in your laps or standing up, whether Basswood or Mahogany, but I do appreciate the subtle differences between the Wizard, Wizard Prestige, Wizard II and Wizard III necks. But that RGA42 is a value for money beaut.

I it possible to use one output without cab sim and the other output with capsim IR. Because that would be ideal for live playing when having one output staight into an amp and the other output straight into the DI> mixing desk

very informative, thanks. I hesitate between Boss GT1 and this one..The boss is not user friendly for editing sounds (screen + tone studio), I prefer this one..I'm using modulation 80% of time, this is a better option I think
I'm thinking about buying one of these in the matte black finish. I appreciate the review, I'm sold on this thing. The only thing I'm torn between is the 6 and 7 string models.
