I can see the scanner in connected to WiFi when you're working on your car. Does the scanner work the same on / offline? Do we need the internet connection to set up the account and update the device only ?
I have a 2013 Mitsubishi rvr gt. I just changed my transmission fluid at the dealers. But I have a P0868 code. Can this be an issue from not changing the filter? I assumed the dealership did that each time I took it for the transmission flush but apparently they don’t. I’ve never changed it since I bought the car
Time to upgrade to pro level scanner! I started with entry then mid level. Your absolutely right about mid level, will pull codes and stuff but I be finding myself in many situations where I need more access.
Wow 🤯 blew my mind how simple that was. I think I may invest on that tool. I know a locksmith wants $370 just to program only 1x fob. Thank you Sir for the excellent information!
I actually see these relatively often here in CT. I think we had 1 or 2 dealerships that were finding and selling them used. I also think one of the local handicap transport companies is still using them. But like you said, outside of CT I haven't seen very many of them on the road.
I haven't had any issues with mine, but I have heard some complain about battery failures on them. I do like that they are TPMS ready and come with a few sensors as well.
This is a great video. Thanks for sharing. I just bought one very similar from TMG Industries and the issue I am having is the arms reaching the pinch welds on my newer vehicles. I am coming up just a few inches short. I can’t seem to find longer arms anywhere but Titan, and they are on a 60 day back order!! Any suggestions on where I might obtain these?
Not sure. I have seen a few cars come through here that were right at the end of the arms reach, but none that totally didn't fit. I too looked that the longer arms and some risers, but haven't pulled the trigger on a set yet.
Nicely done. I'm retired, but these days I wonder how I ever had time for anything other than my projects. I "inherented" three first-gen RX7s and two of them are restorable. Also have a classic Winnebago that I'll be restoring. Love the Rabbit project. Had one years ago and totally loved it. I'll be getting my RV and project channel going soon, along with my Ham/CB/shortwave radio channel. I have quite the collection to repair/share. We seem to have similar interests.
@@FarpointRestorationsAndRepairs Yea, enjoy following you, too. I need to try to bring my followers over from my sailing channel (SailBeforeSunset) to my RV channel. Our sailing days are fewer now. RVing is a future for us, along with other interests. I've really enjoyed your channels, so keep up the great work!
