As an arborist, I highly recommend Maxiflex gloves. The nylon material has plenty of stretch, so ordering a size up doesn't make any sense to me. I like the snug fit.
Hello mate. I am debating between buying two models, the 6500QL or the 7500. Which one would you recommend if in terms of comfort and practicality, it refers to use in welding and tasks such as grinding or plasma cutting, etc..? It would be for use between 5 - 8 hours. Thanks and regards.
I had to go beneath grain elevators and breathe the rotten wet corn that smells like feces with rats and flies. .it became the taste in your mouth and nose. I was thinking that was organic vapor. Horrible
Question...I want to use a rope lanyard while working on a roof at home bc I can reliably lock it for added stability (unlike an SLR). What would you recommend for roofs under 15'?
I bought 7503 mask and neither the handle nor the mask inside was factory wrapped in foil. Only the filters were packed in factory-welded foil. It's normal?
Are the resettable? Or are the recyclable? I know they are usually discarded after a couple years or less. I think that it’s kinda lame that they just get thrown away.
The P100 portion of the combination cartridge is rated to filter out so-called 'radionuclides'. Essentially radioactive particles or dust. Which is different from saying that it protects against radiation. Hopefully that helps.
There does not seem to be a way to add a photo to a comment. However, this image I found online looks the same: m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61HM19+VNDL.jpg (These can't possibly be 3M filters, but I'm also realizing now that they don't even have NIOSH P100 printed on them.)
The password can only be changed by using AutoRAE Lite software on a PC. If you change the password, write it down and save it in a safe location. If this is a new unit, you can try the default password "1 1 1".
Hi Michael, I reached out to the factory rep for National Safety Apparel (NSA) with your question, as it is an interesting challenge. Here is what they had to say... Good question. Below I am probably covering more than you needed. If you need anything else please let me know. For Electrical workers the only material available for protection from shock is the Rubber insulating glove. A Leather protector is also required by the standard. The purpose of the leather protector is to keep the rubber glove from being damaged which can interfere with the ability to provide Electrical insulation. The Rubber Voltage gloves do not have an arc rating, however we have just recently introduced 2 new Leather protectors that do have arc ratings. So while there is still not a glove that does both, there now is a system that can provide both levels of protection. 1050-_ FRBL Kunz Premium Cowhide HV Protectors (Lengths between 12 - 16” specifiy in the blank) 1005- _FRBL Kunz Premium Goatskin HV Protector (Lengths between 12 - 16” specifiy in the blank) Additionally we do offer a unique Glove Liner for this system as it is moisture wicking and fast drying, but also Arc Rated with CAT2 protection. We feel this rounds out the best protection available to electrical workers today. G16RG_ _ FR Knit Glove liners - in RG & LG sizes to cover glove sizes 8-12 Please let us know if there is anything further we can help with. Thank you, Rick Pedley
After I open this I plan on using it once in a while. After I open it how long before I need to buy a new pair. Also I’m using this for gallons of paint thinner and lye. Is this adequate? Also are bayonet filters better then 40mm ones? Thank you man
Please help!! I purchased a 3M 6300 half mask and not sure which filter to use, I usually make wood projects at home and do a lot of sanding and painting with a spray gun.
For asbestos exposure we want to have a P100 (HEPA) rated filter. The filter portion of this cartridge has that rating, and so would work for that application. The fiberglas is easier to filter out, and would also be handled just fine. However, if that is all you need protection against, then a filter alone, minus the multi-gas cartridge would be my choice. The 3M 7093 and 2091 filters are both P100 rated. Costs less and is easier to breathe through. We have them available on our site.
