@@darrensoutdooradventures just started hiking with my lady. Skyline drive. Older couple we are. Really enjoy. Some of the things you hiked over looks treacherous. Especially in Maine. You inspire us to go hiking for a day hike. Thank's
Congratulations! It has been such fun following along on your great adventure. You did a great job capturing the entire experience. Your strength made it look so easy at times when in reality it had to be tough. Well done…you should be very proud of yourself. You did it!!!
Cheater? SMATTER! Congratulations to all of you. It’s been a good journey to tag along. And now reality comes back into focus. The song “Blackwater” seems to ring a bell for the next destination. Just keeps on shining on me (you). Mississippi moon . 😆
Tuuuesday in the park, must have been the 20th of July…( uhhh August 😆) But August didn’t fit the song. But there were no laughing people!? And no ice cream. I suppose a sub will have to do. These people are kinda strict on coming into the park! Interesting.
So many thoughts. First of all thanks for your support for ALZ. My Mom had it for about 12 years before she passed 6 years ago. I'm the captain of our company team in Greenville SC for our Walk on 10/5. Second you're a true friend for staying with JAKs while he healed. From the one who provided the blueberry pie in Gorham NH - Chris
@@chrishastings9926 You're the man, Chris!! After all JAKs and I had been through, we had to finish together. It was a little scary in the moment but we got through it. And our walk over here in Mississippi is October 19th. We've got a pretty good sized team walking that day. Thanks again for everything you did for us!
Huzzah for trail magic. Sorry yu left your pack, hope it makes its way back to you. ( I stopped the vid so I could read the sign, then you said, stop the tape to read the sign, lol.)
There's a whole lot more to the Mahoosuc Range than Mahoosuc Notch but no one ever seems to talk about it. The Whites are tough and beautiful but the Mahoosucs are gnarly and interesting. June is the best time when all the flowers are in bloom up there, just in case you return to hike them again. 🙃
All the sub peaks of Mt. Adams have been formally named. As a thru hiker, you don't go over any of the Adams Family. But as you come up to them, they are Sam Adams (off to the left), Abigail Adams (right on Lowe's Path), Adams proper and John Quincy (JQ) is the little knob on the shoulder closest to Madison.
Those boggs! I imagine that’s because of rock formations underneath with no where for the water to go. It’s a lot different than the South isn’t it. Yep! I always capitalize the South. 😆
The Height of the Land is my second favorite spot in Maine only to Katahdin. That was the spot with the lake before called Mooselookmeguntook Lake lol.
