Haha, hope it's more of a good thing! I'm looking to create a mega-album of my popular game music tracks to streaming services for people to enjoy on their favorite streaming apps. I might 're-master' or do some really nice improvements to the more popular ones, and also retain the original versions for nostalgia :D
Always the DAW for producing and scoring. Sibelius is for when I need to do live recordings. The reason why I have so many scores like this is because many of my college projects required a score.
@@MatthewPablo interesting. I always found reading scores very instinctual and the piano rolls in Cubase is hard for me to "hear". Do you find that DAW audio rendition is significantly better than NotePerformer?
Hello! Fellow composer here, I'm currently learning this piece (i love One thousand lies and wanted to learn it for a while now since it's really beautiful) and i was wondering if there would be a problem if i eventually uploaded a cover of it on my youtube channel? Obviously giving proper credits and linking to here :)
Heyya! That would be awesome, I would love to hear your performance of this. I am working on releasing a lot of my catalog to streaming services, hopefully I can get this one out too. Were you able to download the sheet music and everything?
@@MatthewPablo yeah! I've actually had the sheet music for a while now, but I didn't have time to learn it due to music college 😅, now that that's finished I can get to learn and perform music that's special to me, so yeah, I'll get to it and hopefully you'll like it once I upload it, thank you very much, and good luck with the release of your catalog :)
I remember watching this cover for the first time back in 2011 and being so amazed by it. Ever since, I always return to this video to listen to it again. Sends chills down my spine. So perfect.
Hopefully I can release all my backlog catalog of music tracks to spotify soon. That's my plan for this year! Check out my website in my profile if you want to see what I've done lately, to find my other links! - Thanks for being a long time fan and listening to my music. It really means so much to me!
Yeah! I'm working hard this year on getting my catalog of music out on streaming services. I might want to re-do all of my old guitar music because I can totally do it better now :)
Awesome battle theme! I saw your comment on the "Legrand Legacy" battle theme video and its ludicrous that they used your song without your permission, altered very slightly. I first heard it there and thought it sounded awesome, so thank you regardless for an awesome piece of music!
i don't have "event sound" i only have "event instrument" and it creates a nested thingy.. i'm about to give up fmod and i'm trying to make music for my own game. spend 3 years learning music production. i need hands on help. like a teacher i can write back and forth
FMOD for smaller indie games is not as common. Usually you'll be using FMOD when working with a team that is really utilizing it, especially in the sound design department. Crossfading transitions and tracks can easily be done within any game engine if there is access to volume sliders. As a composer, it's also pretty rare to be doing implementation yourself, but sometimes being a sole audio designer might require these skills. That being said, the specific issue you're having might be because my tutorials may be a bit out of date and nested events are called something else. I've been using Wwise within the last few years, so I might need a refresher myself. I might go back and start a new dynamic game music series here on my channel. We'll see, I've got a ton of music to release, and a lot of updates for my followers. I don't have any courses, or coaching set up officially, but I would be happy to chat with you over e-mail, discord etc.... connect with me via e-mail and lets take it from there matthewpablo@gmail.com I personally think that this specific technique in FMOD is only needed when you are using FMOD for everything else in your game. If this is all you need to do with music, you might be better off not using it since FMOD can be quite expensive when it comes to licensing.
I updated the link in the description but here is a direct link: www.matthewpablo.com/wp-content/Files/Scores/Sonatina%20in%20C%20Minor%20-%20Matthew%20Pablo.pdf
Many may have known this from prodigy, but im one of the few people who know about it from Superboys the Big Fight. Such a amazing game. And the fact that there will be a sequel to it makes me happy. Matthew Pablo, if you are reading this, i just want to let you know that you are my favorite composer of all time and thank you for your beautiful tracks that I've listen to through the years.
Thank you so much for listening to me over the years, I hope I can meet my goals this year of releasing my backlog of music on streaming platforms and upload more videos to RU-vid!
Thanks for listening in and supporting me after all these years. I hope to give back to my fans and supporters soon with some new music content coming up on my channel hopefully around the early Fall of this year. I'd suggest that you follow me on twitch for impromptu music streams and my IG where I post music stories weekly. I'm definitely thinking of reviving my old prog-metal tracks like this one at some point. EDM, old-school hiphop, funk and some black metal tracks are the ones on my list for upcoming albums/EPs on my spotify. Follow me here if you'd like, and thanks again! linktr.ee/deadlyfishes
This video is so old! I don't use soundfonts anymore and exclusively use kontakt libraries. - However I believe this was mostly squidfont orchestral soundfont and Edirol Orchestra soundfont
I've been geeking out on Arcade Paradise and this is the music in Woodgal's Adventure when you play the puzzles. It's now stuck in my head forever. Thank you.
I love that game and I was so happy to hear that my track was licensed for it, I didn't know until I played it! Those sim games always have a very unique and interesting experience.
@@MatthewPablo your music Wasteland Showdown overdrive version was used in a Roblox game called Reason 2 Die Awakening (R2DA for short), it was used in a boss fight called King Cherry Cake, the game is sadly discontinued.
