This was my first time on this lake. Drop shotting some creek tuffies and shiners. Nothing to impressive. I like to fish live bait when just messing around.
@@tmolive728 I don’t but there are plenty tournament on the lake. I look at alltoona as a fun lake you can catch a lot of fish on but not much size on the lake. Tournament winning bags are 7 pounds at highest. What lakes did you fish before fishing toona?
You should call fish and game on them non keepers lol. You guys bitch when they are to big and bitch when they are small lol I’ve found out your just jealous morons who can’t catch fish lol
But all jokes aside those are good fish and good content. Keep it. I may have challenged yall to a little fishn derby but didn't realize that other people were using racists comments towards your partner. That's some real B.S.
All good bro shit was pretty wild and maybe one day we could get together and fish now that this has blown over. Lol since all that went down I have actually went up to Lanier and also went to carters the other day and man I have been missing out those fish are giants compared to poor toona. I think the average at Lanier is 3 to 4 lol
@@justinmerritt388 that’s a big spot. Only thing that is crazy is them people at Lanier are dangerous on the water and off lol. What ramp do you use at Lanier?
You got them hot spots. I bank fish around the southern part of the lake pretty regularly, mossy creek, byrd spring, or a little north of the dam and I NEVER see anyone catch em like that. Must be nice, I only get an occasional decent roaming fish here and there
Yup, I've in that same area and usually go home skunked. Might get one here or there but nothing real worthy. I usually fish a few spots on lakeshore drive but mossy creek is a good little spot. Oakland hollow is decent. I've had more luck in the river than I have the lake.
@@KE458S I can only fish from the bank. Oakland hollow is ok for me from fall to early spring once they fill the lake up I don't bother going there. Mossy creek has been the best spot for me if I get out there early in the morning. Once that sun get's high the bass take off except maybe for a few random roamers now and then, now that we are later into summer mossy creek has been terrible. I've seen countless boaters chasing fish on their screens and don't catch squat through there. The old heads that fish through there in the Friday night derby's are cock suckers to, they will run right over lines or wherever you are casting at
Thanks my man. Appreciate the support and feedback! Lol finally I think that post has settled down and most of the hate mail! Lol my inbox is slapped full of it!
We meat hunt on toona. If you want to watch catch and release We have some Cherokee and chickumaga videos those smallies and largies go back. If we fish for spotted bass we like to eat them
Pretty much but as you can see only a quarter of our fishing was done there. To many spot vultures on lake Alltoona. One thing I do notice is I always see people fishing the old damn point but no one is ever catching shit lol. 😂
Wondering where you’ve all been. Went out Friday. Close to where you’re at. I love the spot for summer time. Boat traffic is cray but you can kill ‘em with a fluke. Was drop shotting water temp 52.2. 2 points around to the right.
Hey brother! Yea we have been around fishing here and there mostly fishing Tennessee. We watched that point get hammered all day the other day and finally we rode by and no one was at it so we thought we would stop. They where biting pretty good. Pretty much all rock walls on the sunny side with 30 foot depth where holding a good amount of fish on toona. Water was pretty brown. No used to that at toona
I mean yes and no. Like lake chickumaga was a largemouth/smallmouth lake but is now being taken over by spots too. So it is hard to say why. But one thing is certain spots are very aggressive eaters and seem to be able to adapt to any type of water from streams to lakes. But from what I’m hearing the largemouth are slowing coming back in certain areas at toona
Wow. Easy. It’s called selective harvest. And bream, catfish, walleye and mahi( your local grocery) all taste better then spotted bass, a game fish. Come on man. Hahaha. 😂😂😂 stay safe. Hope to see you this winter. I like allatoona year round. Produces for me every time I go. Dinner is sitting in the Etowah ( ol skool bluegill fish fry’s. Ultra light w/2lb test. On a kayak. Good stuff) be good. Hope to see you guys on the water some day
What’s up man! Been awhile! Yes hope to see you also!!!! Yea we have been doing a lot of bream fishing this summer stocking up the pond and having some fun! Stay safe!
You should watch my videos sir. I turn non invasive species loose. Spotted bass get eaten. Cherokee lake and chick has big largemouth and smallmouth bc it isnt taken over by spotted bass.
15-25 foot. Early morning was mostly 25 foot or afternoon when they where chasing bait. But any good 15 plus drop from a rocky bank was holding them. Look for the bolders in mid day and the bait fish in the morning and afternoons!
Yea we caught some on artificial but they where pretty finicky this trip. They where chasing baitfish the whole trip and nothing was turning there heads unless it was a shiner or a tuffy. There was so much baitfish I could have netted them with a net from the boat lol. They all where pretty skinny this time of year But that’s just the post spawn. Appreciate the comment!
