What do you mean by preloading the support bearing? I bought a cheap chinese driveshaft and getting a vibration as I speed up. Will this help with that?
I always have a soft spot seeing these older bmw's getting restored back to their former glory. Please grant it a second life and keep up with the maintenance
Great video - thanks for posting! This may be a stupid question but do you really need to remove the wheel to remove those two trim pieces? With the airbag out, it seems as though those 4 Torx (2 on each side) should be accessible already. Or am I missing something?
I worked on so many BMWs for a lot of people. And that kinda thing I've done for others so much that it put me negative helping them. But if one person can smile the that's all that mattered. I enter all kinds of things tho I don't ever win. I still make sure to help others along the Journey:)

Had an intermittent wipers on a E28.Due to its age found several cracks in solder joints in the relay box which could only be seen with magnifying glass.Resoldered all joints which fixed the problem.

I have an 2000 e38 and my torque converter just went out today i want to fix and keep it but i definitely dont have the financial means to do everything sadly so i was just wondering if I can get in contact with one of you guys for some pointers and advice i stay in the Illinois area and my plan is to make it a project car and take my time with the improvements by next year ( it my only car for now also) im using your videos as a somewhat guide but i would love any and all extra help if anyone is willing

I had an '04 325i manual in the same color blue Brenda is and the exact same thing happened to me on the vapor barrier. I bought butyl tape and a new barrier and no more water. Used the wife's hair dryer to heat up the tape. I think this happens quite often with E46's.
