Had those same Krauser cases on my 1977 R100/7. Could pack alot of stuff in them. When I stayed in motels on my trip, just unlock them and carried them in like suit cases. Miss those. Now it's just molded baggers and can't carry as much and can't carry with you.

Tbh, you would need to use sulfuric acid and distilled water to the battery. That is literally what is in the battery. The concentration of Sulfuric Acid mixed with the distilled water should be around 20% - 50%.

Hi Heiko, great video! I have a question for you. I have a new to me 1975 R90S and the front desk calipers have some up and down movements when I brake and make a clicking sound. Is this normal? If not can this be somehow adjusted?
@HeikosGarage
@HeikosGarage 21 день назад
The calipers are mounted with an adjustable cam and the top and bottom of the caliper is supported by the aluminum casting of the fork slider. The aluminum surfaces can wear and give the caliper some vertical play. I recommend that you take your front wheel off and then take your calipers out of the fork sliders to inspect. All that is doable without disconnecting the brake lines. Cheers
@Pierrelaliberte
@Pierrelaliberte 21 день назад
@@HeikosGarage Thanks for the quick reply! If there is some play can you somehow put in a shim to remove the amount of wear?

What I use is the simplest and fasted method.. tape together on the outside, and from the inside use superglue and then cover with bi carb soda, it cures fast and is rock hard. There are a lot of video's showing this super glue and bi carb trick This super glue method is fast and nasty. The part is then harder at the crack and is stronger than the rest of the plastic. Don't take my word for it, here is some one else's. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2tHhW1XOm2U.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-U2bitV4rl8I.html

Finally! Thank you Sir... I been looking for a video like yours, in which shows how to assemble this tool. I'm from Mexico and buying this framesaw it would be to expensive so I am trying to build it myself. I been trying to figure out how is the mortise and tenon joint made, specially the part which has been reinforced with a transverse little wood piece on one side of the saw between the brace and the arm. I'm guessing is just a "T" bride joint like this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zg5RcsbrtZY.html. That part is still unknown for me, I would be very thankful if you give me some advice... Please correct me if I am wrong: the tenon on both sides is made out of piece of metal and it is shaped like those biscuit from jointer machines. I increase the resolution at maximum and that is as much as I can figure out. ... As you mention indeed using hand tools is a pleasure, and... I intend to find pleasure while build it as well!
