I regularly turn off my hud for that very reason! Unfortunately cockpits are not modeled like they are in dcs and the radar cockpit just doesn't feel right. I agree it's a shame and ruins immersion
Hi brother thanks for leaving a comment and thank you for the nice words!! Sim is very fun, as you can see you can take your time and decide your approach, which you can't do in air rb. Sim match don't work like the ones in air rb: in sim you don't wait for a lobby to fill up to start the game and you can also join already in progress games. Also if you get shot down you can respawn and even choose a completely different aircraft to do so. Sim is very underrated my friend and it has definitely made me a way better pilot. If you're looking into Sim we can fly together and I can show you how it works😊 let me know 👍🏻
@@petertureintreter9201 if you have the war thunder game already installed you can just change game modes👍🏻 anyways thanks for the chat, have a nice day☺️
@@mr.bugbyte I've just got my hands on a oculus rift and next month I'm hoping to upgrade my hotas to the thrust master. Videos look great, hoping to see a lot more!
The late props to mid jets are my favourites, from 6.0 - 9.7. I've been using the sea vixen for ages now but only in RB, want to get back into the sim mode. When I get the new hotas I'd like to see how long I would last against those fox 3's
I've looked for the names but unfortunately these songs aren't available publicly. I get my music from Envato Elements (paid service) to avoid copyright strikes. I'm sorry brother
awsome gameplay, I tend to catch a rocket without seeing an enemy... tip: turn off radar if not needed to not set of enemys rwr and stay stealthy before shooting an ir missle!
Thanks for the comment brother❤️ usually I leave it on to ensure I don't lose track of whoever I'm trailing, but maybe actually turning it off might have an even better ROI as you're suggesting! Thanks again for the comment❤
Hi brother thanks for asking! It depends. Tracking is usually harder and easier at the same time, I'll explain: you see everything bigger since you are IN the cockpit instead of just looking at a screen with the cockpit in it, but the resolution isn't on par with let's say a 4k screen for example. Depends on what VR you use as well. I use a Meta Quest 3 which seems to be great for the price. Image is sharp but you can still tell you're looking at pixels. Still recommend it because when using a VR you have a lot more spacial awareness than a flatscreen. Thanks for leaving the comment
No brother this one is the German mig21 MF!! When compared to the BIS you get less thrust with a lighter airframe, which makes it easier for this plane to lose speed. If you look closely in the video I avoid to pull too much AOA because of this very reason unless it's needed. Thanks for commenting bro, always appreciate it❤️
Cool stuff Question: Why does the VR recording shows that you’re always leaning on the right side of the cockpit all the time? Isn’t your POV is supposed to be from the center?
First of all thanks for commenting and thanks for asking brother!! The answer to your question is quite interesting actually. When using a vr headset, your computer actually renders two images at the same time, which are almost identical but spread apart by the same width of your eyes. Using a vr headset is not like having a giant screen in front of your eyes, it feels way more like using your actual eyes, which is what makes it so cool. The fact that you get two images is what gives VR the depth that you get in real life, because when you focus on something with your eyes, things before the object double just like in real life (since you're not looking at a big screen but actually two screens through a pair of lenses. When you play a game in vr, like war thunder, you often get the option to feed the pc screen the image from one of your eyes. I chose to give it the right eye because that's the eye I use to align the crosshair to the target, so the viewer can see what I'm seeing when aiming. Hope this cleared your doubts brother, have a nice day😊👍🏻
I also just rewatched the video. Especially in the beginning I am actually leaning on my chair towards my right to better see the enemy and better judge how close I am to hitting the ground. Playing on flatscreen has gotten us used to not moving inside of the cockpit, and instead just looking in different directions, but in real life (and in game as you can see) moving your body in the cockpit gives you a great way to nullify dead angles and make better decisions
I agree with you but at the same time haven't had too many issues with it. As you can see in the video I move my head around a lot to get always the best perspective when in the cockpit. Anyways thanks for the comment man❤️
Thanks brother❤️ to me this is worth more than you imagine, positive feedback always puts a smile on my face. What did you like most about this video? Thanks again G
You're really kind brother, thanks for appreciating the clip!!! I started sim on my old ps4 controller, then bought the quest 3. At the moment I'm still using the ps4 controller to pilot the aircraft, so I guess we are still kinda in the same boat ahahahahah. Hope you have a great day, thanks again for the comment❤️
😂😂😂😂 I just woke up to this and it is making my day. I'm grateful to have made you and someone else smile, I certainly tried my best. Have a great day bro and thanks for leaving this comment❤️
yeah I agree! One thing I dislike about it is the absence of a working fuel indicator. Since I use a VR headset I like to turn off HUD and rely on the cockpit instruments for immersion, I would have loved to have a better modeled cockpit
Hi brother thanks for asking!! I currently use a Meta Quest 3, which I find to be really good for the price point. My pc runs an rtx 3090 paired with an i7 8700k. I have 32gb of ddr4 ram but that honestly doesn't influence performance that much to begin with. I get 60ish fps when playing and recording because I have set my resolution really high in the VR settings and the gpu has to work overtime to make up for it. Fortunately the Meta Quest 3 does frame generation so I always see 120fps while playing. I'm currently using a ps4 controller to use the plane, but I'm planning on buying a Hotas with the RU-vid revenue I hope to get from this channel
