You say a lot of the original classic Daleks “look a bit flimsy” etc which is kind of unfair considering the time they were made and the budgets compared to now.
@@lazzycruser It means “what do you mean”. Name the historic episodes that are as you say “shite” and give a valid reason based on the quality of the episode, not on any political ideologies.
@@harryhughes6124 I never mentioned historic episodes it's the new woke stuff that has made doctor who look bad I grow up watching the program and like I said it's changed for the worst
So your telling me His TARDIS got stuck killed a bunch of people lived tuck of the city like a king until they rebeled against his cruelty probably in disguise cause people know his stupid round face.

I'd be interested where you'd place the 'Cyberwoman' from Torchwood, who was a partially converted cyberman from the Battle of Canary Wolf. Its a kind of more grusome design, I guess because it appeared in an adult show.
Woke/Diverse/Alphabet person garbage of the highest order, every turd episode was worse than it's predecessor....finally the BBC has done what it's been trying to do for years, they have killed off the doctor.......RIP Dr Who.
No Lindy is not presented as evil; she is clearly blinkered, selfish, and above all entitled. Nothing was shown or said on screen to suggest the Doctor was rejected because of skin colour; nothing to prove she was being r@cist. There was a fear or distrust of outsiders, those perhaps of a lesser class.
I think you should watch the episode again, and check your white privilege while you're at it. She is clearly racist, as well as classist. She listens to Ruby and doesn't block her, despite the fact that she is also an outsider and from a different class to Lindy.
Ruby was also an outsider, and Lindy was much more receptive to her. No one in Finetime wasn't white, and almost all of them were blonde and/or had blue eyes. It is never explicitly said, but she said many things that could be interpreted as racist. She is presented as somewhat evil, her motive being purely self preservation, going so far as sacrificing others to survive
You see, I found her unlikable within the first 5 mins of my first watch. So I was distracted the entire time by how much I really didn't like her. So then when we get to the racism reveal at the end, it came completely out of nowhere for me bc I missed so many of the clues throughout the ep due to how much I detested Lindy. I don't think this is a rewatch issue, for me it was an issue from the start.
Black Mirror's Shut Up and Dance goes for a similar twist reveal at the end, but I think because Kenny is so much more likable the ending hits so much harder
The consciousness of the host body is still alive, Eric Roberts talks about the host screaming in terror at the masters actions unable to do anything unable to die or live locked inside their body
The funniest thing about the song was I looked up the original video on RU-vid the next day and 90% of the comments were "Justice for Ricky September" or "I hate Lindy" or "Doctor Who bought this banger back"!
1. 73 Yards - one of my all time favourites stories made in modern Who 2. Legend of Ruby Sunday - one of my all time build ups to a series finale 3. Boom - almost perfect, some frustrating writing and APPALLING child actress (not her fault of course) 4. Rogue - well I cried so I can't deny how much I connected with it emotionally 5. Empire of Death - WAY too much to try and stuff into one episode, but I love the tone of it and how well acted it all is. Just ridiculously rushed. 6. Church on Ruby Road - it was fun and definitely one of the better Christmas specials, but not my thing 7. Devil's Chord - cut out the musical number and it's a hell of a lot higher 8. Dot and Bubble - absolutely LOVED the ending, hated the rest 9. Space Babies - unwatchable
The slugs are not actively going after and eating people. They're just existing and infesting. The dot then leads people into the slugs to be eaten, and the dot goes alphabetical as it works through its database.
It is possible the dot created or is luring/controling the slugs IE building basically an efficient human dissolving creature or sending them places which is something the bot did anyway. But the AI is slowly moving them both to the same place. That's how one of her co-workers got eaten alive during the 'shift' as otherwise how could the dot be certain a slug would be at that work station?
I would say 1. The Devil's Chord 2. Boom 3. Empire of Death 4. 73 Yards 5. The Legend of Ruby Sunday 6. Dot and Bubble 7. Rogue 8. Space Babies Explanation: The Devil's Chord is a perfectly structured episode for me. The writing is driving and whimsical, the Doctor and Ruby have great moments together, and the villain really seals the deal. I personally enjoy the song at the end and the only thing I don't like is how The Beatles are sorta a deus ex machina, but it's not completely out of nowhere, so I accept it. Boom was just brilliantly written, but didn't have as big an impact as Devil's Chord. Empire of Death, while I didn't love what we got with Ruby's mom or how Sutekh was defeated, gave great moments with The Doctor and Ruby and really felt like a fun finale. 73 Yards was mysterious engaging and, for me, solidified Millie Gibson as an amazing actress. The Legend of Ruby Sunday was exactly what I wanted from the first part of a finale, which in my book sorta means it will never strike highly as it's a lot of setup, but it's not at all a bad episode by any means. Dot and Bubble was an interesting take on a Doctor-lite episode and it was interesting seeing The Doctor try to handle a situation where he couldn't be hands on. Of course the ending is powerful as well. Unfortunately the placement in the season as well as just the lack of Doctor and Ruby are what hinders this episode. Rogue was a bit of a mess for me, trying to be a typical Doctor Who episode, but The Doctor seemed totally out of character, Rogue was a bit boring, and the villains, while funny, not very threatening. Lastly, Space Babies could have been great had they nixed the babies. Like maybe do slightly older kids who can actually talk and it would be less cringe. Otherwise, I did like the whole concept and it was a fun first outing for The Doctor and Ruby.
