Without the extra wash wipe function I think my l322 would just not reach the pinnacle of magnificence that we have come to expect, next time I am stuck I will attribute the extraction to this additional feature. Just having fun, it’s nice to know just how these settings work, thanks.
Hi Jay. Great video. Looking to buy a 2010/11 fl2 but seen a few reviews on the haldex not being serviced and causing issues. Honest john said there were massive issues. Any pointers on checking and would you recommend a freelander 2 sd4. Regards. John.
Thanks guys. Have owned our LR3 (as we say in the US) V8 SE since it was new in 2006. Center and rear diff's. After many 4-wheeling and cross-country adventures over the years, with maintenance still runs like a top (knock on wood). You've given me some great ideas for upgrades!.. Cheers!
Hello Joe, i drive disco 3 with only 200 tsd km. The repair costs much less than German cars! Owners have to be clear to have the nearest oil pump, version 6. May be silicone hoses for cooling and if they invest in forge campshat, 1000 €, it runs millions of miles. Best car ever.
Why a jeep over land rover is the question 🤔 i own both jeeps & land rover and i love older rather than new because i build my vehicle up with lots of upgrades my 05 jeep wrangler unlimited rubicon 4,0 6 speed manual with a supercharger is a beast last of a real jeep wrangler all metal except for fender flares i just bought a 04 land rover discovery ll that currently getting tons of upgrades and my 07 lr3 all 3 different driving attitudes a nd a 06 jeep commander 5.7 hemi engine all old school no payments 2 years ago i wanted a jeep gladiator but 60k is crazy when in 3 years you can buy it for 25k so i bought a 09 h3t alpha hummer truck 29k a rare hummer i feel wìll hold its value, i own many vehicles and i don't like selling them but for each own way of life and what they drive tons of jeep content jeep offers unlimited upgrades for everyone personality here in usa they put a 492 hemi jeep way too much power on such a small platform good luck with your jeep jay i hope you bought a manual 😊
If Toyota built Land Rovers, they would be stupid colours, ugly, worthless, boring and characterless, but.. there would be videos saying they are OK. What use would that be?
Great video again. How have your Terra Firma rock sliders lasted? I have them on my LR4 and the powder coating has just fallen off! Terrible quality unfortunately. Just about to have them sand blasted and Raptor coated.
I´m lucky because I have a Discovery 4 and a Jeep Wrangler TJ. The Jeep is fun, especially with the roof down but the Land Rover is a nicer place to be.
One thing I find fascinating and amusing about Land Rover is the controls like the ones you've outlined here. The fact that, if you do push-holds and repeated actions a certain number of times, you receive a new function--that is a really cool bonus.
Yes the trigger bottle is good quality and works very well however even after reading the instructions the long tube with the trigger is absolute CRAP!
Very informative, thanks for posting. I have a 64 plate Freelander 2 and after 7 years still wasn’t sure what difference each mode made. I mainly use it as a tow vehicle on grass. Never had an issue though but now I know what best mode to use if I do!
I reconfigured the space below that held the tire by fabricating a steel plate to hold two Nato petrol cans. They don't leak. No drilling into the body as the holes were already there for two Unistrut hinges. The cans (when full) are the same weight as the tire and they just fit the space. Tire now rides on a swing away carrier on the rear bumper (custom bumper). Have several occasions to need extra petrol on long desert runs. The larger tires I installed on the LR did no longer fit the below spare tire space. Enjoyed your video, thanks.
Here in France, removable licences plates are illegal they must be riveted. Licence plates held by screws are also illegal. Winches, bull bars, non plastic bumpers and any protruding element on the bumpers or anywhere else on the car are also illegal because they can aggravate the damage caused to a pedestrian by an impact. We can only have fake plastic bull bars as they cannot cause any more damages to pedestrians.
Hi, I'm hopefully buying a 2005 LR3 s model this week. I just wanted to get some advice. Its has 368,000km and has been serviced every 10-15,000km. Is it worth buying with the high km? And are discos worth buying as i don't have a large budget for major issues. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
So great to see a white FL2 in action. We bought a new nicely spec’d one in 2014 and I am still checking the adverts to see if any similar one popsup. The haldex was replaced under warranty. The FL2 was more capable than we were and we learned that during LR experience courses.
@@JayTeeCars Really shockingly good. They're so light, and so well-balanced. If they only had a bit more ground clearance they'd be an absolute weapon off road.
