Would tbis. Cause no reverse reverse was working fine but 4x4 stuck in 4hi drove home 30 miles and t locjed up front tires then camr out of it but no reverse
I have a 2004 F-150, I just changed the VCT solenoids, and now this code is popping up C1979-2F I used aftermarket VCT solenoids but went ahead and ordered the OEM one I need. My question is, can me putting those aftermarket VCT solenoids cause this code?
Just crack the jam nut loose slightly and thread the new one on up to the jam nut. Its never perfect because if differences in aftermarket parts but gets it very close
"Here we have another gem from Ford Motors" - Such an understatement 👌👌 Jokes aside, you are correct. I do believe that fixing the intake manifold shouldn't require so much parts removed. It is such a shame for that to be.
First you need to make sure the gauge is working ok if you have a scanner you can test the oil pressure gauge and check for any DTC if the gauge is ok read the actual oil in the PCM if the same as the gauge reading the issue is in the switch /wires / low oil pressure due to sludge up engine and oil pick up tube I hope this help good luck.
Thanks for the video. One big correction for others watching though: you should not be going straight to torque on each bolt as it seems you did. FSM says “using several steps, tighten each bolt uniformly”, so they should be tightened in sequence a little at a time until you reach the 27 ft lbs. Going straight to torque on each bolt will not achieve even pressure, which is the whole point of the sequence.
@@HuNgRiZy I don’t know about the 90 degrees but if I torque the 180 in two steps uneven clamping force still present, the 180 degrees should applied in one step two steps might strip the head bolts threads in the block , I did this job more than two years ago and I have no issues.

Hi, confirming if you unplug the oil pressure sensors there shouldn’t be a code, correct? I got a p0118 (coolant temp sensor) and p3400 simultaneously. any idea if they’re related or treat each independently?
They are the VCM system needs an accurate ECT sensor reading fix the P0118 first this ECT sensor effect lots or systems like ignition timing A/F ratio feedback idle speed the ECT voltage are high it should drop with hot engine, after fixing the P0118 you need to check the P3400 code if still present after clearing the codes.
