I used 4eggs, milk, oil(i was out of butter) and 3tbsp of yogurt. And two 9inch pans 27mins. And it was delicious! Kids looooovvved it. We loved it. Moist, fluffy and love it! Thanks
It is fun to experiment with these things. I am going to try 4 eggs, 1/2 mayonnaise instead of oil, and 1 cup of milk next time. I didn't like the result when I used melted butter.
Question ???? Did you get an internal temp on those eggs to make sure they were room temperature? .....lol. M, your looking good ! Now make your hired help some cookies !
I love this channel and the interactions between yourself and Mr Bitchy Baker (CJ) whose channel isn't too shabby either 😉 Made this recipe here in sunny? Scotland this weekend and they were amazing. Keep up the good work.
two things you did wrong 1 you dont put melted butter into the batter and 2 you put the batter into hot oil/ lard ... so from a yorkshire lass they are definitely pop overs and NOT yorkshire puddings....
Just a tip: if you want to make them more like Yorkshire puddings, add half an inch (or more idk the imperial system that well) of oil to the pan when you’re preheating. This will make the classic hollow shape. Some people even put the batter in the fridge before putting in the hot pan 🤷♀️
Aren't you supposed to save the yeast for last? Won't that mess up the activition, or is that just a bread machine thing? Also, the end result looks amazing!
I will definitely try this recipe. Thank you for the great video 💜❤️ Update I tried making it and it was a disaster. I will be trying again soon and actually buy the right yeast 😂
Lol love it, just like my ‘homemade’ lasagna is made with a can of RAOS sauce and a box of lasagna noodles… I do add things to my ricotta cheese for flavor and sprinkle fresh garlic on top at the end… to me that’s homemade… lol
I like canned icing and all but im not doing all of that when i can literally make butter cream with butter, confectioners sugar, and vanilla extract. Its the same amount of work.
But not everyone has butter or confectioners sugar. Chances are, most people that buy canned frosting aren't "from scratch" kind of people. Also, butter is expensive lately. If you're trying to make one small birthday cake or something to take over to a dinner party it is much more affordable to get one can of frosting (1.89) vs a 4.28 thing of butter and use half of it for one cake.
I’m not a baker but I saw the magnolia lady make biscuits and she places them on the baking sheet touching each other so that they steady each other up straight. So they won’t flop . Worth a try maybe ? Love your channel btw!
