Pura Fé is a singer-songwriter, poet, musician, artist and social activist. She founded the first native women's a cappella trio, Ulali, and created a style and genre that blends traditional Native American music with contemporary musical styles. She currently resides in North Carolina and performs internationally with the Pura Fé Trio.

From what I've seen, Pura Fe always presents herself in a genuine fasion. It's commendable that she represents the traditional music of the Southeastern Woodlands, such as Blues and related Country music, as Indigenous music. And refrains from taking this music out of its local/native context where it was born and emerged. She is one of the few persons to publicly do this. Pura Fe is cousins with indigenous American Jazz musician Thelonious Monk who is Tuscarora by lineage and heritage as well. ❤🪶
