While I don’t save the receipt from the scrap yard, I can assure you that it is in fact 700. But you’re right, I can’t prove it so there you have it! 🤷🏽♂️. Have a great weekend.
Somehow that door frame/threshold withstood that weight. Worth a million bucks if you're a mover. You back would thank you after every job!! Congrats 👏 👏
It’s a very gentle machine. This load is a nearly statice 1000 pounds. 800 pound range and 250 pound machine. So thats 500 pounds per track. For perspective, a 250 pound human running up or down the stairs or like puts arguably the same amount of force onto a sill. Yes, there are limitations but as long as a staircase is properly built, we will climb it.
That looks like a Garland. We used to move those by hand back in the day. I remember the sense of dread when finding out we had to move a Garland that day, always from a greasy spoon that had gone bankrupt. And yes, they were greasy.
It is the same price when you factor in 4 guys' payroll that can pick up 700 pounds. That's the whole point, someone as small as a 130-pound woman can pick up and move 700 pounds ALONE all day, every day. That payroll reduction is worth 10s of thousands of dollars every year. And it never calls in sick.
Yea… no one actually does this outside of hospitals because no one requires it aside from hospitals… the crews who do this shit, are doing it for extra cash. Nothing more. Too time consuming, too expensive, and no one will maintain containment after the first day or so, if it even lasts that long. It’s just not worth it to anyone. If you use this process, it’s only done as an up charge, just to scalp an extra grand off the job.
I greatly appreciate you taking the time to view our video as well as the effort you put into your comment. Our project do in fact require this level of site preparation as we are held to a zero dust tolerance. The scope of work was removing a granite surround and hearth. This is performed by using hammers, chisels, and grinders. In order to ensure that none of the chips fly around the living room are full containment is in fact mandatory.
@@DemoboysTV it is, in fact, not. Dust mitigation is only a requirement in sensitive environments, like hospitals and rest homes, where there may be sensitive people affected, or when hazardous elements are involved, like asbestos (which requires even more stringent regulations.) Clearly in a private residence. We have ripped out and rebuilt entire home interiors. Drywall. Wood. Particle board. Insulation. Stone. At most OSHA requires goggles, dust mask, and gloves. Except where the grinder is involved. Then you need a face shield, no gloves, and a fire watch man. Your client may have held you to a zero dust requirement. Which you charged them extra for. Or your owner requires it. Which is stupid, expensive, and the cost is usually pushed over onto the client.
@@ThatOnePrickOnline I suppose the only response I have is that we provide the service we are asked to provide at the level of cleanliness that is set by the homeowner.
Concrete n granite have no place as kitchen counters. Theyre so heavy. Need to break fown ours in apt we purchased. The cabinets caved in a bit under the weght and so did the floor of course. There should be more vids like this. Love the mini tank transporter with the ribbed rubber belt. Save your back!!
Once upon a time, that’s how we did it, but this method offers us a significantly higher level of control. We always have that song with us in order to cut the mortar bed floor anyways so we remain efficient
In my opinion the Zonzini is better. Stair walkers only excel on stairs, the Zonzini can do stair or slopes in grass etc. Also, if something goes wrong mid move you can stop the Zonzini at any point and reassess. The other climbers require manual balancing at all times.
Because a good tradesperson is almost impossible to find nowadays. If you’re trying to decide where to go from high school, choose a trade. If you excel at it, you can name your price, in almost any market.
