andre jackson was going to syracuse, adama sanogo was almost certainly going to seton hall, and jordan hawkins might've ended up at xavier had uconn not come back to the big east. definitely fair to say the titles wouldn't have happened otherwise. the most important thing the move did was let them back into the northeast recruiting scene
I so enjoy watching Jelani Stafford playing on the field!! One thing I’ve learned in my 60 yrs… IT IS ALL ATTITUDE AND PERCEPTION!!! You guys are talented group of young men who have the ability, talent and strength to beat every remaining team on this year’s schedule!! Looking forward to the 6 game home stretch at the Rent to support & see Jelani again, play in person!! You got this game at Duke… they’re exactly where Huskies are in team development regardless of the record! They’re (scouts) watching Jelani!!! GO HUSKIES!! BEAT DUKE!!
Nice interview...I will definitely be keeping an eye on box scores from Utah Valley State and rooting for Andre! Thanks for all you did to help the Huskies win two national championships...you'll always have a home in Connecticut!
This was a fantastic interview with Kevin Nathan, and Jared you did a terrific job. I've been a fan of Kevin since he began his career at NBC as a sportscaster. He has always been a class act, and it is great to see him being interviewed by you. I thoroughly enjoyed his interview with Coach Calhoun and Coach Hurley because I think he covered so many interesting facets of both men, from their early years growing up, the influences of their wives, and their relationships with the players. Thanks Jared, great job. I can't wait for your next interview with Alex Karaban, as well as any of his teammates.
Ayton enjoys finding his offense on the perimeter, and he's pretty switchable on defense. It's not totally out of the question that a year from now, the Blazers start both Ayton AND Clingan...especially against the bigger teams in the league.
I don't understand why people think Ayton is bothered with this pick. They drafted Clingan to be his backup. As long as Ayton is on the team Clingan will be coming off the bench. Clingan is also no where close to Ayton's level.
WelcomeTo Rip City USA Kling Kong‼️ U will be loved from day 1, it's kind of how us Blazermaniacs are built. We love hard & we love hard working Blazers! Go #TrailBlazers🥀🖤
I agree with all the players U mentioned except for Duop Reath. Duop was already in his late 20's as a Blazers rookie. Meaning that his jump shot was already developed b4 he got to Portland. But U are correct about the others. Go #TrailBlazers🥀🖤
I doubt Robert Williams is destined for anything but trade filler. Clingan couldn't have found a better fit, with Ayton as the starter there's no pressure. Passing big man who can dominate the rim... right now he reminds me of Bill Walton, when he develops the 3 he'll remind me of Arvidas Sabonis. Clingan also compliments our other backup center... thanks for mentioning Duop Reath. Consensus is we'll be tanking 1 more year for a chance at Cooper Flagg.
I think Coach Hurley made the right decision by staying with UCONN. i probably would've declined the Lakers head coach job too. wouldn't want to coach a team as rough and tumble as the Lakers. team full of cry babies and a wife beater.
Alex Karaban is such an awesome player, and I am so happy that he has decided to return. He rocks and will do some great things this season. Go A.K. and Go Huskies. Let's ROCK!
I love how UConn plays with great intelligence and discipline. Im kinda vintage...50 years sgo I was saying and telling abody who'd listen that one day UConn would be on top of college basketball. Don't ask how.. I truly believed. I drove people in Texas crazy talking about Connecticut basketball. It really began in 1965. Its been my passion ever since. Keep it hoing Huskies!
My big thing is …. How does this affect Solo, Ahmad, Stewart and Ross. They have to be a little upset because they might not get major minutes. I only see Ball and Stew now getting minutes. Ahmad is a beast, but will he be Corey Floyd 2.0? SMH. Liam obviously will start will Mahaney
Yeah, man-- the killer, AK is coming home to Storrs for one more. He's going to bring back a lot of experience, a great work ethic, hustle, determination, and at least 20 points per game. Let's Go UConn. Awesome x 3!!!
