I saw the LinkedIn post and it took me here, I have a very similar experience - Made redundant in Sept after 10 years, lots of experience and transferable skills. Finding it very difficult as a lot of companies are looking for an expert in not just one, but maybe 4-5 different skillsets and sometime they don’t even linked. Which I understand as they wants to save money. A good example, an ad I came acrossed yesterday - At least 5 years in sourcing (tick), 5 years in project management (tick), Product development (ticked), operations experience (tick), CAD/solidwork experience, random but ok (I have CAD and Sketchup experience instead). So I still failed their recruitment requirement as they have overlooked everything else and just focused on 1 small thing that I can actually learn quickly. Very frustrating…..
