Test Rockrider E-ST 500 from 2023 Thank you for your modification I tried. So you can do 450-500 pedals cycle and then the motor goes off without say anything. You have to turn off the computer and then back on. But I did 7km and the engine went off 2 times. The max speed on the flat road 41km/h but the engine still going so you can go faster. But your battery life on mode 1 took 10% in 7km. Normally I can do 100km range on mode 1, also 65km in mode 2, and 50km in mode 3 on a flat road with AVG speed 22km/h without the hack. So what this video explain is good but your engine going off when you ride more than 3km range. I hope you guys this review helpful and you can go realy fast in mode 1 with this modification but you know the result. So I do it back for factory result because I am happy with the 100km of range. Peace and love. 😊
I did this with my est 520 it doesnt display my speed anymore and says error but it does go fast for like 20 seconds and then it slows down because it says error. But i didnt have a magnet so is that the cause for the error?
Hi there, I have same light. On the user manuel it is writen that when battery is fully charged, red light button will turn off. But my battery after 8 hours of charging still showing red light, even battery is fully charged🤔 So my question is, does battery indicator turns off when battery is fully charged or not??? Thanks in advance.
WARNING: FLIMSY MOUNTS! I bought 2 of the Cateye 1100 AMPP versions and the Cateye 1700 Volt. The problem with the lights is that they won't last long. Their batteries are integrated, meaning they can't be replaced so the light will have to be thrown away after a year or so if used every day. Another problem is the design of the base on the 1700 Volt is faulty. On that model, the base ridge on the bottom of the light body doesn't hold the release button screw spring in place - thus leaving the heavy light to go sprawling onto the concrete. Mine went flying into the line of traffic after a 3 uses, damaging the light. I've lost half a dozen lights from various manufactures in this way. And that was on smooth pavement, it must be way worse on mountain bike trails. I sent some pictures of the design flaw into the Cateye distributor who more or less blew me off. However, I see they pulled the light from their website right afterwards. All this stuff comes from the Ali baba factories in China where they make them for a few bucks. Their websites shows them selling them to dealers for a few bucks and the dealer and store marks it up to $100 to $300.
@@pasqualeagnello3341Hi Pascual. I'm about to buy an E-ST 900 rockrider or an E-ST 500.... and I was hoping I could use your hack on either of them. Is the hack no longer possible? Saludos
@@Muzzaa Yes, a perfect one. I use Bikespeed RS for Brose motors. Works flawlessly and even the speedometer and the data in the software are retained. You can also switch it off.
@WILDKAMERAD would you be able to tell me a bit more? Was it easy to fit? What top speed do you get now? Have you come across any issues since using it? Does the battery drain considerably faster? Thanks mate
There's a magnet on the wheel that is used to calculate your real speed. After this modification, because you put a magnet on a pedal it now considers that your pedal speed is your wheel speed. It can't know what is the real speed because of that.
I changed the speed limit but the motor it stopped and it didn't started again. I went to the repair shop and they fix it. I take it off again the sensor I switched of and on again and I could ride it with the maximum speeds and it is a beast. Now every time when I m taking off the sensor it showing: Error, Check the Speed Limit. Can you tell me what should I do?
