Rockrider E-ST 900 Speed Unlock 

Test Rockrider E-ST 500 from 2023 Thank you for your modification I tried. So you can do 450-500 pedals cycle and then the motor goes off without say anything. You have to turn off the computer and then back on. But I did 7km and the engine went off 2 times. The max speed on the flat road 41km/h but the engine still going so you can go faster. But your battery life on mode 1 took 10% in 7km. Normally I can do 100km range on mode 1, also 65km in mode 2, and 50km in mode 3 on a flat road with AVG speed 22km/h without the hack. So what this video explain is good but your engine going off when you ride more than 3km range. I hope you guys this review helpful and you can go realy fast in mode 1 with this modification but you know the result. So I do it back for factory result because I am happy with the 100km of range. Thanks to Pasquale! It worked for me. Now I can go 33% faster. My magnet is 15mm x 1mm (North). I used 4x cable ties and some double-sided tape as well. I was a little concerned that the magnet and the sensor were not exactly lining up, but I got them as close as I could. And hey, it works. I'm carrying spare magnets around with me in case something knocks my magnet off. So happy!

Thanks for the video . I have done it on my new est 900 and it works! In eco mode goes easy to 35km/h , in Standard to 40 km/h . The problem is that with new latest est 990 model , with new Brose lcd control screen , happens that after about 500 pedal turns the power assistance off. Is like the system knows that the speed sensor has been moved . To have the power back I need to off the control screen and on it again. It seems that only the new 900 est model have this problem

I have already done the same for my Rockrider e ST 900 it works very well, however be careful not to have an accident because they watch a lot, I have unbridled my bike for a few months but I strongly advise you not to unbridle the engine if you live in a city the chances of hitting someone are greater, the brakes are of good quality that's not the question but it will take you longer to stop. We can go up to 40 km / h on the flat, beyond it is possible but it will be very hard with a motor of about 350W! At 35km / h on plato doesn't force it too much. The maximum assistance speed is 75km / h. (34/11 = 3) 25 x 3 = 75km / h Above 45 there is hardly any assistance. We pedal too fast for the engine. The autonomy is 30 km do not hope to do much more especially if you put in mode 3.

The speed in GPS showed 47km/h but in speedometer was 15 km per hour, so the motor still gave power until it reached 25 km per hour in speedometer.

when i increased the max speed i just messed with the programing and got around 25 miles a hour. but burnt the motor out on 1 bike .and the mid drive motor i broke are someone broke my crank arm on the motor that was connected to the entire motor no way of fixing :( waiting for the battery technology to get better then maybe a new ebike for me .like this 1 in the video

and now to find out how to do it on the new 2023 Rockrider E-EXPL range 😊

Bonjour, après avoir mis en place et après essai le résultat est positif pour une utilisation sur du plat et pour une vitesse supérieur à 26 Km/h sinon il faut pédaler comme un sprinter et le pignon arrière n'est pas assez petit, ou celui devant assez grand pour prendre de la vitesse, ( car on mouline) c'est vrai il y a toujours de l'assistance, le point négatif est que si on ne pédale pas il n'y a pas de vitesse inscrite et pas d'enregistrement des distances parcourues, la vitesse sur le compteur est proportionnelle au pignon que l'on utilise, en pédalant ... pour ma part j'ai remis comme c’était d'origine, le montage est vite réalisable si je dois faire beaucoup de plat !! mais pas trop dans mon cas..

I did what you showed on the video and it is working fine. Speed increases till 42km/h. However the motor stops after a while and i need to reset the system. How can i avoid / solve this issue? Kind regards, jan

i bought some of the magnets but they are not with adhesive pads, which way around does the magnet need to be should it attract or repel from sensor?

I wanted to ask you if there is another alternative to these magnets.I mean to make you understand me, if they should be these magnets exactly (Measures-10MM / N42 or I can put other similar of the same brand ... I am Spanish and I looked at Amazon and these same do not appear, if they appear almost equal (10 MM / N35 O N50) to those in your video. Hi Just got my e-st900 and found the 25km restriction really annoying on dirt trails. If I do the hack you suggested which is brilliant BTW if sticking to around 30-32kmph would the battery drain much quicker in setting 2. Thanks

I changed the speed limit but the motor it stopped and it didn't started again. I went to the repair shop and they fix it. I take it off again the sensor I switched of and on again and I could ride it with the maximum speeds and it is a beast. Now every time when I m taking off the sensor it showing: Error, Check the Speed Limit. Can you tell me what should I do?

I did this with my est 520 it doesnt display my speed anymore and says error but it does go fast for like 20 seconds and then it slows down because it says error. But i didnt have a magnet so is that the cause for the error?

Nice simple hack, however,it would be good if rather than removing the limit all together you could just raise the limit to 30-35 kph, Also having the newer software I feel having to turn off and back on every 500 pedal revolutions would be a pain in the bum. And also raise eyebrows if any warranty claims were required! (See excerpt from Brose Manual) “The new manipulation detection ensures that the drive detects when the spoke magnet has been attached to the crank and thus the rear wheel and crank are moving in a ratio of 1: 1 to each other. If this is the case, the drive switches off the assistance after 500 pedal turns. Error 47 becomes active and can be read out in the service tool.”

pasquale spero tu legga e mi rispondi. modifica fatta ma sistematicamente dopo 2/ 2.5 km il motore si spegne anche sotto i 25 km/h . spengo, riaccendo e rifunziona ma non credo facciano bene al motore questo continuo " problema". hai una spiegazione e o rimedio? geazie un anticipo
