I will not work for a company with cameras facing drivers. Driving in general is no longer a job I want to do. I hope more and more people stop driving for companies with these cameras. Before I even consider working for a company soliciting my labor I ask if they have these cameras.
Yeah it was preventable. The car should have not been an idiot. I'm not even a truck driver and I think the "opinion" that this was preventable on the truck driver's part. This channel is a joke.
The cameras on the top/right side of the sleeper, are in direct line of where tree limbs smack trucks a few hundred times a year. Maybe if they had only asked an actual driver some questions when designing. They’ll find out 😂
So you could drink alcohol and be shitfaced and have a hangover the next morning and that’s OK but you can’t smoke a nice joint after work and come back to work nice and refreshed this world makes no sense. I wonder what idiot made this law in the first place.
it's such bullsh+t, with every driver removed from the seat, another inexperienced driver takes their place and probably consumes THC until they get caught, or the person doesnt get replaced at all and our supply chain is further crippled. i wonder what the statistics are? how many of them that got caught strictly consumed OFF duty vs how many were rolling down the road with the window down and a joint in their hand. i bet by and large, vast majority were just consuming a little after a long day. it some point the laws are going to have to change if we want anything on store shelves.
Kenworth didn't do nothing but create junk. The first recap on the road will rip that ridiculous looking front end. You people amaze me with the stupid things you come up with. Ugliest truck on the market.
The issue is: was the truck holding up traffic? He was in the left lane for how long? The car driver is at fault for hitting the truck, however was the truck going 10 mph for 1 and a half miles looking for his turn? Truck may be guilty of upsetting the harmony of traffic.
The preventable ruling on this accident is ridiculous. Now you’re telling us we have to be mind readers too. There is no way Doe could have or should have known the car behind him would try to pass on his right going into a 2 lane road. He has to watch where he’s going, and watch his trailer so as not to hit the other car waiting at the light. How could he possibly know the other car would be stupid. Plus even if he saw him just before he got hit there was nothing he could have done. I’ve been driving for 29 years and I’m gonna say that whoever called this preventable has no experience in a truck.
🚫 Check my shorts for proof of fuel efficiency before you order. 10% more efficient compared to some spected 2015 Volvo D13 which is not true. Because I already have one i-Torque 13 speed and God forbid, it doesn't save me a single penny in fuel. Instead it shows 7.4 in settings after driving it for year and a half. I have almost 120K mi on it. And unless Volvo takes it away and replaces with brand new truck free of charge, I won't recommend you it.
Just another Joker that reads a script while showing manufacturer video and pictures. But he says he was one of the first in the world to drive one whatever... So where's all the video and pictures of you driving it buddy? What a liar
I've had this very thing happen to me. I was livid when it happened because nobody should have been on the controller button which was required to be pushed the entire time to move the gate down and that button was at the dock which means that the person had to be in attendance. It turns out that it was a low level employee who was cold, not authorized to control the gate and obviously not paying attention. I happened to work at this very facility as a yard switcher at the time. They had to have a CDL operator because this entrance was on a public street. The entrance was a steep downward slope into the dock which meant that even if you bent over as far as you could you could still not see the upper portion of the gate and nor could you hear anything over the sound of the yard switcher motor. So the rest of the shift the entire dock crew spent their time being cold because of this one person. They of course did not fault me for the incident but that didn't matter to me, I was still quite livid when it happened because I never hit a box on a overhead before or after that day.
Good luck getting into any shipper/receiver, truck stop, or work site. That's all well and good for pristine closed course roadways and I understand the concept but practical use how can a pre-trip/post trip be accomplished, not to mention any uneven terrain maneuverability.
Thats good put more of this computer garbage on them .they can't keep this junk running now.glad I only got 3 or 4 years left .anyone wanting to get into trucking today RUN as fast as u can go in other direction these trucks u have to deal with elogs to deal with all the tassle castle's u have to deal with .3 or 4 years cant wait
I'm out. I left last month due to micromanaging and severe adversarial atmosphere. Hirschbach is a bad company with executives and managers that don't care for the driver. They view drivers as expendable and there will be another sucker to fill the seat. BTW I was in the industry for over 30 years. I'm done.
