i just did buy me MK MR also something you may not have said about the Mr is that it is compared to the other varrient os his sister ships it his very heavled Amored so when the Armor system comes online it will be a fucking beefy tanky ship and yes it looks sexy AF in black
One of the sleeper facts that most people don't realize about the Zeus Mk II ES, it has a radar scanning turret. If you look at the Technical Overview on the ship profile on the RSI site, it has an empty hex for "Utility Items", but when you click on it, it tells you that there is actually a radar scanning turret. When exploration and scanning gameplay is added, these turrets will provide an active buff to the already powerful sensors on the Zeus MK II ES.
I got me the Zeus MKII ES and boy to me it feels like a real jack of all trades, 32 SCU of cargo space is good to do some hauling jobs, the size 4 weapons and the size 3 remote turret makes it pretty good to do some bounty hunting contracts and the fuel capacity just does it for me as I love doing exploration. It was mentioned that the CL can go through small wormholes and the fact that the ES and the MR are also the same ship of the CL my best guess is that all the variant of the ship can go through all three different wormhole sizes.
We'll wait to see what they offer. The game has a plus that the Wargaming is behind it, and the developers are committed to balance. It appears they have a clear plan.
Aye the developers are giving me a good feeling, but I do fear the influence from the WG corporate overlords in the longer therm. On the short therm it means a ton of experience on hand and a really well established server system to use.
This game just looks like another world of tanks. Like can't they do modern armor? Cold War is just shit and they probably have Russian bias in the game. So I'd rather not play any game from this shit company
This game is made by a completely different team, if you weren't so fucking dumb and just posted a knee-jerk reaction and actually watched the video. And they have done modern armor also, on wot console.
They mentioned that the Zues series components will be comparable to ships of its same size in the future. Like the freelancers will have similar amount/size components, the spirits, the cutlass' and ETC.
No sense in considering it until it's been released and typically nerfed... I hate that CIG always nerfs the selling points of ships after using them to sell the ships... Pretty underhanded way of duping players for more money...
I have a C1 and bought a CCU to the CL, just because it seems like alround the better ship. It's a bit of a bummer they're going to do the C1 dirty like that with the Zeus blowing it (and every other competition) straight out of the water.
I am considering a cargo version of this tbh as an upgrade from the C1 (i love that ship). But i can't bring myself to do it now as i don't want to upgrade to a jpeg even if i still get to use the C1. Want to see it in game or a hands on review first... so until it's done i'll stick to my C1.
you can buy a $10-CCU for it from an F7CR or Cutty red and just leave the CCU in your hangar until the Zeus releases. I own a C1 and that's what I did.
@@snowshoe3274 I see, but there's one thing that will bug me about this if i do it. The way i see it I'll have two cargo ships and the Zeus CL will kinda overshadow my C1 and will probably make it obsolete. Anyway thanks for the suggestion.
How about you learn a few things about game design first and then come back to see what they are actually working on, who would be working on it and how that would or would not affect things.
@@Lintary literally an indie deceloper bud. Maybe learn how to take constructive critisisim ...yes? Like ive made snarter a.i ( fps ) than the ai in sc and im one guy with ue5
I think people are characterizing this ship wrong. This ship is analogous to a modern day destroyer that has missile launch capability, ballistic guns, point defense, and a rotorary detachment yet is still relatively small, fast, and has long range patrol capability. It is a jack of all trades and that is not a liability. Btw you are off on the number of torps by nearly 3x.
thanks carde! I'm curious tho as to how the ship looks like with this habs design. Do you happen to have a video where make a full ship with this design?
I enjoyed your video and I subbed. It does look cool. But Im doing ERTs and trading vice with the C1. Im not seeing anything that makes zeus better. Its from RSI with less thrusters and guns then the connie so it will probably handle the same or worse. The white box shows 3 high in the cargo with the other variants having two. So they will probably make it thicker like they did to the msr. Their Job is to sell ships, so don't expect a lot of cons.
@jacobus67gt I came reallllly close to pulling the trigger on a CCU to the CL from a C1 for my smuggler account. The only thing that kept me from doing it is that I'm POSITIVE that the C1's are going to have better acceleration and top end speeds down the road. In smuggling that is extremely important.
Try to increase audio volume next time. Was quite hard to hear you with my headphones on at work. Just 15 or 20% would be enough. Otherwise, decent video. Keep up your hard work 👌
I'd love to give input but have a hard issue hearing what you are saying even with captioning. If you could master the audio 2-3db louder it should be easier to hear without headphones or a quiet room.
They're re-working the components on all ships in the game except certain gold pass ships like the Gladius. So the majority of ships in the game will be brought up to the current metrics and this ship will not exceed them in shields and etc as they appear to at the moment. I would say its safe to assume this ship will not be any better than the Freelancer max, because it has a tractor beam. And it will be worse than the 400i and Aquila because were talking ships that are more than double the price with size 3 components on them Vs this ship size 2. I think its a good ship, but It wont be the "best" ship, and it wont stand out much amongst the crowd either.
Wonder which flavour will be released 1st?. Have all 3, but will use the CL as a CCU token, once the MR/ES drop. Ships are getting better and better, with more ships getting released, and faster.
All it takes to turn the tables on how people aee Roc mining, is to make the gems that they mine VERY expensive. They do this and watch how fast Roc mining picks up.
Please remember, they are concept and CIG are notorious for releasing ships different from concept then nerfing the hell out of a ship once released and bought
I agree that ROC mining will take away from the Arrastra's core mining operations. The crew has to find ore that the ROCs can mine. Then the Arrastra crew has to drop the ROC miners off. The crew will either have to wait for the ROC miners to complete the job or leave them there. If the Arrastra crew goes off to mine other resources, the ROC miners will have to wait. I doesn't make sense to me.
For some reason, whatever I do, level 2 of this ship design immediately removes the doorway between 2x1 hab and 1x1 central ladder companionway as soon as I add the 2 story bridge.... Everything else stays locked and connected with proper doorways.... Any thoughts?
I'm having issues with the ladder, it won't make a doorway for my captain quarters, and when I change the 1x1 it will make the doorway, but then the ladders don't connect, it forces you to use the cockpit stairs between floors. Any solutions to this issue???????
Okay, why on earth would what is essentially a hallway (hab cross brace - 14 mass) weigh 3 times as much as a full hab. I could see it only being 1 mass lighter since it's a 'brace', but 3 times the weight? com'mon man! Why would I bother with that vs using a companionway (5 mass). So much phoned in on this game...
People keep in mind about the whole component thing, the reason why it has 3/4 shields is because of a component rework they are going to do and it is going to eventually make its way to other ships. I'm pretty sure down the line the cutlass and the spirit are not going to have just 1 size 2 shield anymore.
This is literally the most important comment. We have no idea what older ship adjustments we'll get, that could potentially put the Zeus' in an honestly terrible position. The ES is a complete mystery and could get easily surpassed by older ship changes The CL is a solid purchase but a Taurus is a significantly better purchase The MR is the only one that is different but is lacking firepower Then there is the ST, which we know nothing about.
I am stuck between ES and CL for now, 150 is a lot to spend so this would be not only my daily driver but my wipe grinder, only ship pretty much and I would want to be able to do majority of game content solo and have even more fun with friends, but from what I see zeus ES or CL lacks offensive weapons for solo bounty hunting or some smaller pvp battles
SIMPLY PUT, NOT GOD TIER. the only ship thats is gonna be any good out of this is the cargo ship. this ship is ment for exploration and scouting. as for the combat its only gonna be able to run. as for cargo its knocked on its as by many other ships.
Good content, but maybe dial down the RSI fanboy tone a little bit and at least mention some of the detractors of each model too. Such as the Clipper not being able to access or repair its components while fully loaded, or that CIG mentioned that all ships would be getting their component sizes reworked/rebalanced in the near future. Despite your clickbait title, the Zeus series is competitive industrial or Bounty hunting ship, but by no means “God mode”. Any half competent fighter is going to wreck you, like they should.
I CCUed my DUR to the ES as it was a no brainer, the only thing the DUR had over it was the fuel converter. The ES Is superior in every way (to the DUR) more shields, better sensor, ect. ect. Also picked up a CL, as I had always thought of getting a MAX but there was something just not selling it (and it looked like a turd). But the CL just got a sale out of me, The cargo size, shields and looks 🤌.
I got the ES, looks like a fantastic jack of all trades. Can solo and multicrew, can fit light vehicles in the cargo hold. The big radar and fuel tanks are good QoL features even if you are not just exploring. It has the best living space, and its extra shielding somewhat makes up for its lack of offensive capabilities.
That is the nature of things unfortunately. Some of the older ships just need updating because they have got far better at making ships as time has progressed.
They are nice but definitely not game breaking. Not a lot of single pilot firepower relative to it's size, somewhat slow and multiple models make highly specialized.
Still for me freelancer better option than this for daily driving. Freelancer can fit ROC inside has 4x S3 gimbaled weapons and its smaller. Yes it has 2x S3 shields but size also smaller it means 2x s2 shields covering all body same as bigger Zeus it just needs 4x s2 shield to cover it. Its still s2 medium shield and will drain as fast as on freelancer. I dont think it will be faster and agile then freelancer. It may look better than freelancer but less practical.
