Thanks for your review, I bought a SCIII, I want to change the plastic nut, I thought about a Göldo Zero Glide, but I do not know which model to choose, perhaps it would be more appropriate to choose a Tusq nut, in this case the choice of model is even more complicated. What do you think?

Pour moi le côté vintage vient des medium assez bas et d'aigus qui sont très raisonnables. Du coup oui, ça sonne un peu plus dark. A contrario, les Roswell HAF de la custom II ont des mediums plus hauts et offrent un son plus agressif et modern.

I need a guitar to Record Punk/Metal songs, i loved the design of Harley Benton SC1000 Progressive Line for 195€ and has good reviews, but now that i saw about the SC Custom 3 for 295€, i don't know which one to pick. Is it better the Sc1000 or the Custom 3 for 100€ more?. And if the answer is the custom 3, better the active or passive version?.
Hi man ! I don't wanna spoil my next video but the SC Custom III active is way better than the SC 1000 and, speaking about tone, for punk/metal music, you should fall in love with it. I will release the review video of this SC Custom III active on sunday, then you will realize by yourself ;)

La SC II est pour ma part meilleure, juste 5 secondes ont suffit! Les micros sont plus détaillés, un peu plus "crunchy" je dirai. J'ai une Ibanez dans le style mais active, une Art12 white qui à plus de 15 ans et une autre Ibanez GAX30 black, beaucoup plus légère et facile à jouer... Mais beaucoup moins punchy aussi! J'ai eu une Yamaha RG 320 FZ dans mes début, une guitare que j'avais un peu de mal à jouer mais très stylée en noir avec liseré crème sur tout le contour du corp et accastillages chrome.
Pour moi c'est un peu pareil, les Tesla sont sans doute très intéressants pour des registres plus calmes, mais les Roswell HAF sont carrément meilleurs pour ce que je joue.
Nice review. The Roswell of SC Custom II sound better under high distortion to me than the new Tesla of SC Custom III aside from this I'll choose the new Custom III. Personally I'm very tempted by the FR version unfortunately from the 299 euro of first version (Sc Custom I) now It reaches 455 Euro! Please review also the SC Custom III FR !
Thanks ! If I remember well, the first SC Custom were around 200 but they were far from as good as the custom II or III. 455€ is an interesting price for a guitar that looks cool and comes with a FR 1000. I will try and review it as soon as I can, I wonder how good the tuning stability is :)
Hopefully I’ll get a hand on mine soon and might post a couple videos. I ordered on 7/16 and was told I’d have to wait 5-7 weeks. Seems like no one has received their Custom 3 FR yet!
I bought SC-Custom III FR VBK. Tuning stability is perfect. But I would like a lower string action. If drop the strings lower, then floyd may hit the body during a strong rise. I'll probably have to take it to a specialist to have the seat for the floyd milled deeper.

@@perkelechannel9031 I wonder if Roswells have a QC problem and some of us just get a bad set? Both my sets were muddy with low output. But others seem to really like them.
@@JD-vj4go Might be the case or if the issue is in the pot or maybe their ceramic picups? I use to buy the ones with alnico magnets which has never been muddy. They are just clear and beautiful sounding 🎉
I purchased a SC Custom iii, and can confirm that it has an ABS nut, despite the description online saying it had a graphite nut when i purchased it. I even checked with Thoman as well before I ordered, and they said ABS.
Great review as usual! I'm glad I got a SC custom II with Roswell PUs as I too prefere those. Let us know if you get some info on why they completely switched to Tesla (and if they intend to only use Tesla PUs from now on with every new model).
You are by far the best guitar reviewer on RU-vid in my opinion, very thorough and you specify the exact issues you have and what you've done to midigate them. I just bought the paradise flame for $250 and I'm very excited to receive my first PRS style guitar.
@@ToroKchannel sure thing! I'm very excited, It's my second Harley Benton, I wore the frets out on my TH 20 and I bought this because of the stainless frets and the beautiful body and finish.
Pas encore. A la base, je pensais partir sur du seymour Duncan Distorsion en bridge et sans doute Jazz en neck, vu que je n'aime pas le SH6 neck en clean. Mais Seymour Duncan a sorti deux nouveaux sets actifs (les Damocles, signature Corey Beaulieu) et les Alt Metal, qui semblent venir remplacer les Blackout AHB-3 Mick Thomson. Du coup je pense que je vais les essayer, et si l'un des deux me plait vraiment, possible que je le mette dans la EC 10
I think that you made up viewers minds when you described the Custom as more for metal and the 55O more for vintage. Very good review. Currently the 550 is significantly more expensive than the Custom 2 at Thomann site. Thank you.
It sounds pretty good with some hi gain tones eventhough the pickups don't have that much output. The tuning stability is correct, I can't tell you exactly how long it will stay in tune cos' it depends upon how hard you attack the strings and if you play rhythm or lead parts. A better nut would improve the tuning stability for sure but as such, you can probably play several tracks without thinking about it. And yes you can play solos on it very comfortably.
I am using sheckter sgr s1 and sınce i consıder myself late beginner maybe intermediate , I want to change my guitar for a better one do you think I should go with this guitar (I am worried about floyd rose) , or get Ibanez RG421AHM or just stick with my current guitar? (I mostly play metal , sometimes go for blues riffs ). Thank you for your help.
I've never had a SGR guitar in hands, they're not easy to find here in Europe. But I've had a Schecter C-6 Deluxe and it looks like it's pretty much the same. The Ibanez KIKO is a great player but if you're afraid with the FR, just don't go there. The RG421 is very close to my RGA 42 FM and it also is an amazing player, the neck is just a tiny bit thinner than what you have on Schecter. But I think the pickups are better on your Schecter. I don't think these Ibanez are a real upgrade for you. If you want something really better, you should go for a Schecter CR6 (or C-6 Pro in Europe), or a C-1 platinum. They're way more expensive of course, but you could find one on the used market for an interesting price.

Du très bon boulot! tu m’as régalé Nouvel abonné 🤘 J’ai arrêté la guitare il y’a plus de dix ans environ car malheureusement plus de temps à consacrer à la musique mais j’aimerais reprendre. Dernière guitare que j ai eu, adoré puis vendue: la LTD EC-401 J’ai donc immédiatement été intrigué par cette EC-10 ! La HB custom a également de très bons arguments, le son des micros paraît effectivement plus défini et doivent proposer plus de possibilités Deux modèles très convaincants. Je m’intéresse principalement au metal et je vois que harley Berton propose aujourd’hui en 2024 de supers grattes , quand j’ai arrêté à l’époque , HB n’avait que quelques rares modèles et une réputation assez médiocre….
Merci et bienvenue à toi ! La EC 10 est une très bonne guitare, une entrée de gamme qui fait très bien le job, mais le son des micros Roswell sur la HB SC Custom II est effectivement mieux défini. Maintenant, Harley Benton est passé à la SC Custom III et les micros Roswell ne sont plus au menu ! Donc j'en ai commandé deux, une active et une passive, et je serai bientôt en mesure de dire si la nouvelle génération surpasse l'ancienne :)

@@SatchGui666 pour la custom III passive, la vidéo devrait sortir ce dimanche :) Les guitares qui m'entourent sont ma petite collection personnelle. Il peut y avoir celles qui sont en attente de vidéo et qui sont amenées à repartir, mais ça n'en représente qu'une ou deux. Et oui, il arrive que j'en revende, car la place dont je dispose est limitée donc si j'en rachète une, je suis obligé de libérer de l'espace.

Ok I have been tearing my head off searching for a secondary axe I know I should have already had one but I never had enough money to replicate the level of comfort and range of tones my schecter with emg 81 85 accomplishes I've been playing for over 20 years actively and I've had new guitars and sent them packing I've been craving a ec1000 because my brother got one and he swore by it, anything over 800 bux is a wee bit out of my current price range. I bought chibson EC2 from Ali express and it was a disaster. But i stumbled across the harley bentons and I have gone back and fourth and back and I think I was a HB sc1000 I'm expecting the hardware to be sub par So I'm planning on adding new tonepros bridge, grover tuners, emg or Fishman Anything else I can expect? Trashy Tone pots ? Bad solder on jack? Rough frets? Or is it just luck of draw
I've had several EC 1000 in my hands, so I can tell you what I remember. The main weakness of this axe lies in its tuners so you're right to prepare yourself to replacing them. The bridge and tailpiece are not really necessary in my personal experience. The edges of the frets were ok on all the SC 1000, but they all needed a good polish job. You will realize that by yourself when you play you first bend :) Never had any problem with the electronics in general. I've had fun playing this axe for over 2 years and the only reason why I sold it was a lack of room. For a secundary axe, it's doing a great job. Another possibility lies in the SC custom III active. I've ordered one with active PU and will review it pretty soon. Not the same price, but it's got a better hadware (grover tuners are stock), better upper frets access, now I'm just wondering how good or bad the Tesla active PU are.
Hi Francois, I'm glad to see, that you are finally doing the poll for your album. 😊🙏 All songs listed sound really great to me, so it is really difficult to decide. But you were asking for the favourites. Those are to me: 2 - Freeway 4 - Snow Time (my absolute fave here) 7 - We shall fight 9 - The third way A little bit between my faves and the rest are 3 - Mist is rising and 5 - The Witcher's way. Hope that helps a bit.
wow interesting idea! must have been A LOT of videos to go thruough. i think the most important thing is, that your (final) selection reflects you best. it's so much personal preference... i'd say my favorites out of these 9 are Nr.2, 4 and 7. i'm curious to see what you have chosen for the next selections. oh and happy 14. julliet! je suis en vacances en France maintenant et j'ai vu le feux d'artifice au bord de la mer.
Thanks for your support ! It took me a bit of time to chose the demos I thought were either good as such or a good basis for something to develop / expand. Alors tu t'en doutes ma préférée, et de loin "Sailing on to glory" !!!!!!!!!!!! Celle là c'est clair, il FAUT que tu la sélectionnes ;) !!!!!! - "The Thrid way" et "myst is rising" sont très sympas aussi mais j'accroche que moi que la première qui est mon coup de coeur! - "Snow time", j'aime le thème du début et quand tu le reprends plus loin dans la chanson, donc pourquoi pas ;) - "The Third way" qui a un ptit côté prog : j'adore particulièrement ce passage avec le passage de la tonalité do dièse mineur à majeur qui donne une certaine couleur : de 32:40 à 33:17 . J'aime aussi la mélodie du début qui revient à 34:10 Hâte de voir les prochaines vidéos ! Tu utilises quoi comme matos pour t'enregistrer? Carte son ça je suppose mais quel DAW? Un simu d'ampli ou en physiqu? Des VST pour basse et batterie virtuelle? J'adore la couleur de la ESP LTD EC 256 au passage, elle est est bien pour le rock ou plus typée metal comme la schecter? Je suppose que tu as en a fait une review, donc j'irai voir si j'ai pas déjà vu ! Au passage, j'adore le son de la Schecter Omen 7 Extreme choisie grâce à tes vidéos ! Même si je débute, même en faisant des powerchords à la "Gaëtane" donc de débutante , ça envoie du steak! Merci encore une fois ! Je l'ai même testé sur un ampli pas cher, le Harley Benton HB 15GXD (que j'ai acheté chez Thomann pour les cours) , bah écoute, le son est correct pour le prix de l'ampli. Ca reste un ampli léger, d'appoint, donc pas le gros truc haut de gamme ou à lampe, mais ça vaut le détour. Et je suis content que tu en apprécies d'autres ! Pour le matos : j'utilise le DAW Reaper, mes simus d'ampli viennent du Torpedo Wall of Sound de 2 Notes Audio, la batterie c'est EZDrummer 3 et la basse, c'est moi-même qui la joue avec comme préampli Le Bass de 2 notes audio et une enceinte virtuelle, toujours issue de Wall of Sound. De rien pour la Schecter, moi aussi je l'adore :) Je note pour le petit HB 15 GDX c'est vrai que je ne me suis jamais intéressé aux amplis à transistor de HB, je suis trop addict aux lampes, je crois ! Mais en effet, pour des débutants, ça peut être un bon choix. J'ai moi-même débuté sur un petit 15 watts ;)

Hi, well I think you should watch my comparison video between the Omen extreme 7 and the Demon 7 then between the Elite 7 and the Omen Extreme 7 to realize the differences of tone. As far a sthe playability goes you will have the same differences between the omen elite and the demon than between the omen elite and the omen extreme, cos' omen extreme and demon are sharing the same skeleton. I personally prefer the sound of the demon 7 over the omen elite but if you wanna shred you might feel a bit more comfortable on the omen elite cos' the access to the 24th fret is better.
Excellente vidéo, comme toujours ! Il se trouve que depuis que j'ai vu cette vidéo, je songe fortement à me l'acheter ! J'hésite avec la EC257, car je possède deux EC-1000, dont j'adore la forme Eclipse et surtout le manche U fin, c'est vraiment mon type de manche favori. Je me demandais comment était le manche des Schecter, si cela est très différent par rapport au U des LTD. J'en aurais bien testé une en magasin mais il n'y en a pas par chez moi...et sachant que tu connais bien les deux marques, ton avis me serait d'une aide bien précieuse !
Merci ! :) La différence entre les manches Schecter et LTD est juste une différence de forme mais l’épaisseur est identique. Quand je passe d’une Schecter a une LTD je n’ai aucun problème d’adaptation. En particulier si ta LTD a un manche en finition satiné, tu t’en rendras à peine compte. Sur les manches LTD en finition gloss j’ai l’impression que les « épaules » sont plus large. Mais clairement, à mon avis, tu devrais te sentir très à l’aise sur Schecter.

Eh bien je pense que ça m'a achevé de me convaincre de m'orienter vers la Schecter 😁 Le diapason de 26,5 (contre 25,5 pour la 257) me questionne un peu aussi, mais jouant également de la basse, je devrais m'y faire sans trop de problème 😁 Il se trouve qu'avec mes LTD, j'ai du satiné et du gloss, la satinée en vintage black (dont j'ai changé le set pour les JH en doré, ce qui est du plus bel effet), et la gloss en Silverburst 😄
