Green tuners on black guitars, green tuners on red guitars, green tuners everywhere. They need to stop with that. I love my SC450 BK. (bought it using your link🤘🏻) It has nothing wrong, plays great, beautiful guitar photos don't do it justice. I'm still interested in SC550 series. Harley Benton is killing it 🔥 Can't wait for the comparisons
Thanks for using my partner link ! I’m thinking about a sub 200€ harley benton single cut comparison video that would feature the SC 400, SC 450 and SC 500. Really wonder how good they are. I have started playing with the SC Custom and it sounds better than I thougjt it would. I think the comparison will be very interesting. Don’t know if it will be ready for next sunday but I will try my best.
@@ToroKchannelA direct comparison between the sub 200€ SCs would be great! You can then compare them to the higher end SCs. I wonder how would they fare against the SC550 II and SC Custom. I've seen your SC Custom video. Killer guitar!
Yeah ... the stock tuners look funky, being all green and all. They may even work fine... But they are not lockers. SO following up on the advise of another on the TDPRI site ... I went with Kluson Evolution Vintage Lockers. They cost half as much as the guitar ! (Got the SC 550 II on last years cheapie sale). But the tuners are a quality piece, and its not the guitars fault, that it is priced so aggressively (low priced !) Anyway, the combo is killer. Challenges Gibson LP's at 10X the price ... BTW The Kluson's are a direct "drag & drop" fit. No milling No drilling.
I have 3 LPs. A Gibson tribute, a Harley Benton S 450 plus and a Spear. They are all fantastic guitars and very similar, except in price. HB is the cheapest, Gibson of course the most expensive one, Spear is about 400-500 bucks new I guess. I got all these LPs second hand by the way for a reasonable amount of money. I've also got one usa fender strat, cause every guitarist - even some mediocre bedroom players - is dreaming of having a Fender or Gibson guitar. There are also some very nice boutique guitars available, but I would never spend 3,4.000 bucks or more for a guitar although I'd have the money. These guitars are for pros only!
i've got one in a different color. totally agree on the tuners... not my cup of tea either. looking forward to your comparison of the sc 550ii and sc custom. i've got both - so it's interesting to hear your thoughts on the pros and cons.
I absolutely love that silverburst and have been thinking about this particular model for some time now. I see that you have an Ibanez RGA42FM hanging on your wall, how would you compare those two in terms of playability and neck feel? I've got one myself and it is the most comfortable guitar I have ever played.
I’ve been torn between the silver burst and the cherry, but I really love the way this silver burst looks in person. The neck of my RGA 42 FM is pretty close to what I have on this SC-550. Same C shape neck, same nut width (43mm), the wizard III is just a tiny bit thinner, bit you barely feel it when you move from one to the other.
I do much prefer the esthetic on the SC 550 II. The playability is the exact same. As far as the tone goes, the SC 550 Plus comes with EMG active, and I enjoy EMG a lot, but I was not surprised with the tone. I've got many guitars and almost all the EMG Active the brand makes. The SC 550 II surprised me with its vintage / bluesy tone, and it's pretty unique in my collection. That's why I like it so much. Now I wanna go for some big heavy tones of thrash metal, I would go for the SC 550 Plus without the shadow of a doubt. So it really depends upon what you wanna play :)
