Leading pastors share their hearts and ministry with Dominic Steele live on Facebook each Tuesday afternoon.
We share personally, pastorally and professionally about how we can best fulfil Jesus' mission to seek and save the lost.
Each Tuesday at 2pm (Eastern Australian time) Dominic Steele will talk live on Facebook to a different Christian pastor about an aspect of Christian ministry and 'what makes the heart beat.'
Later on Tuesday the discussion will be available on our website www.thepastorsheart.net, on youtube and on podcast.
You are in sin just by being in this so called Church, never mind ''praying for sin-nod'' --- stop complaining about it and move on...... lest the spreading cancer take u also; at present you are a green traffic signal to naive people within this apostate church - rather than a red, thus warning and showing STOP
Anti-life propaganda. People are not having children. Look at the vast expanse of Australia, with few persons. How silly to drag us down regarding a larger population. It’s a myth that the World’ population is out of order. 73 M babies killed each year by abortion- according to the World Health Organisation. Killed by abortion.
Dominic, I am not a pastor, have no desire to be one, but I would like to support my own pastor as well as I can. Thank you for pressing your guests to go beyond leadership theory, management jargon, and generalisations, to offering actual, real life examples. Yet, even more would be helpful.
Wow, it’s so inspiring to see the energy, humility, and authenticity in the way these important topics are addressed. Living in South Korea and seldom exposed to anything coming from Australia, I hadn’t come across this channel or Sam Chan before. But I now look forward to getting more help from your content and Sam Chan's.
Observation: that the non western congregations in our midst have simply adopted the western expression of Worship and songs. So, effectively we have been modelling the a incorrect form. So they may be culturally one group but the worship form and songs are a different culture. makes the distinctive of reaching into a culture as Christians from a culture at odds with the Norms of the Australian church where we journeyed to where individualism rules it seem even in the Musial forms we use. Gospel is only Western ...
The gendered model of domestic violence is fraudulent and should not be supported. Women initiate physical violence as much as men. Men when they do commit physical violence do more damage.
What about men who are victims of coercive control and domestic abuse .. as a committed Christian the dad and husband is in a very tricky position as no one really thinks the wife could be so vile
People fleeing the Church of England have all made this travesty possible. May God forgive their cowardice. What a bunch of Godless idiots for permitting this grotesque deception happen... And then running away from gays, marxists, and harridans?? Are you mad? I will never leave and will never be silenced for God by a demonic bunch of woke trannies and benders...Some things sre worth fighting for... ONE thing alone is worth dying for. Grow a backbone and stand tall, for heavens sake. Thanks for this program - May God Bless you chaps here!
The crux of it is the last question that has been the dispute for over 50 years to my knowledge, in UK and Australia. The churches & houses etc built by local parishioners should remain the property of the community of traditional Christians who put the work in, sometimes 2 hundred years before, that said, congrats to the recent church decision to uphold the covenant on the properties that they only be used for Christian churches and not mosques particularly.
Nearly 45 years ago I was taught in a theological college how to exigent scripture and interpret it. You do it in context of the letter it's written in, the verses around it and the wider context of the Bible. Scripture interprets scripture. If you want to change that, fine, but don't expect God to endorse it.
By its own decision, the CofE is no longer a church. May the true Anglican Church move on with the blessing of Christ. The gates of hell cannot stand against it.
Our relatively small Baptist Church in the Sydney suburbs is growing at a low rate since 2022. The main issue we are facing is quite different from those discussed in the video. We have no issue getting newcomers to drop by, come to things, but rarely do they come back regularly.
Just curious if other denominations are experiencing the same decline. I think there is anecdotal evidence that some of the biblically faithful churches are growing very well. If so then there is a totally different discussion to be had.
the church must go to the people instead of hoping the people will come to it. and try to get a hold on the fact that the gospel does not teach that every unbeliever is going to "hell".
You aren't allowed to talk about this - when I post questioning the theology of Sydney Anglicans (I did in response to this video) my posts were taken down (if the posts relate to Calvinism).
I just wish the Anglican church would talk more about why the news is good in terms of God himself being a good God rather than turning the saving message into a horror story.
@@ozhamada The lady who has commented is making a correct observation. Notice that in the interview someone talked about saving people from hell. This is wrong doctrine because people only become worthy of hell AFTER they have heard and refused the gospel - and then there is no way to save them from hell. (Anyone who disagrees is welcome to post from scripture where it says that people are condemned to hell from the moment they sin). And also in the interview one of the participants talked about the need to be sad that their friends would be going to hell. This is also a wrong idea which creates an environment of negativity - because the bible says that only those who obey God ARE our friends: John 15:14 ESV You are my friends if you do what I command you. I am not allowed to talk about the Sydney Anglican belief that makes God himself a horror story. When I talk about those beliefs my posts get taken down. PS There is an exception to what I stated in my first paragraph above - people can become worthy of hell by responding to God's love revealed in creation - and to their consciences - in a manner which shows that they would never accept the gospel if offered it. These are the two groups in 2 Thess 1:8-9 - those who don't know God - and those who disobey the gospel.
Spiritual maturity and depth and maturity in worship needs to be addressed as well. The non church climate is increasingly difficult for Christians to navigate. How do we offer revenant sanctuaries for those we expect to be involved in mission, places where newcomers feel welcomed, but also feel that they are clearly in a space not of this world. We can't address the secularization of society while we don't address the secularization of the church. Just read through the report and I agree with most of the conclusions but feel this was overlooked.
1 John 2:19 CSB - 19 They went out from us, but they did not belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. However, they went out so that it might be made clear that none of them belongs to us.
You illustrate perfectly the effect that Calvinism is having on Sydney Anglicans. If all human actions are predestined by God there is no such thing as fighting for justice (everything is already how God predestined it to be) - no need for compassion. The church not being like Jesus is of no consequence - it is God ordained!
@@paulharding3929 You are doubtless rererring to that self-appointed Hellenised & Romanised "apostle" Paul. The "them" that John is referring-to are Paul's followers.
Then what of the radical "consolidation" of the "daughter" worship - centres" into the main centre in the Armidale Diocese after 1965 & the "election" of +Kerle? Most have gone in 2024. The NCLS surveys have NEVER explored this reality! Further, then what of some rural Parish mergers in the Armidale Diocese since 1965? And then their continued decline after that merger?
I am not sure what the alleged events of the Diocese of Armidale in 1965 have to do with a report or discussion on church attendance in Sydney 2014-2024.
@@ThePastorsHeart Armidale since +Kerle has become - sadly - a clone of Evangelical Sydney & its Evangelcal preaching in a previously High Church Diocese has inflicted real and lasting damage. Especially on rural Worship Centres. See Dr Fudge's recent book.
How so sad to see Bishop leader who have so so sadly lost their faith to be bringing in such non biblical teaching it is just incredible. Praise the Lord for Evangelical ministers who are making such a stand. God be with you and may He guide you on how to go forward. Also for your parishioners who know God as their Saviour firmly stand for the Church of England will prevail and these Bishops will come to repentance and see their wicked thinking and deeds.
“ God is destroying the Church of England” - strong words. “Diverse voices within the church, yet they must stick together” - is that a compromise on the One Biblical Truth? I sense a conflict between the English national character : open- mindedness and tolerance of other opinions ( values that are democratic and wholesome in the social environment) which can not co- exist with Biblical instructions telling us to stand apart from the pagan practices ( idolatries) of the world around us. Light cannot mix with darkness. 2 Corinthians 6:14. And sadly many bishops are calling darkness ‘light’ and light as ‘darkness’. Isaiah 5:20. That is our sad reality. We/ I need repentance, fasting and prayer. God save the British Nation, as I can see tribulations ahead as a result of the current apostasy.
This breaks my heart as a Christian and a man of God all my attempt to be a man of God as ammonia human I know the truth Jesus Christ is King we need to go back and read the scriptures carefully this was prophecy in revelations in the end times all religions will turn on themselves even Christianity will turn on itself it's just done that officially and in the open and declared war against God and rejection of God's word well then they reject god Godwin remove their lamp stands from the church and God will depart from them woe to the Church of England you have made a grave mistake
I feel vindicated in watching this! I upset someone in my church by a harsh critique of Alpha in which I concluded it had no place in our evangelistic endeavours. My great objection was the clear endorsement of Roman Catholicism, which is at least unhelpful and truly a defilement of the outreach tool. You have helpfully explained a broader and deeper critique of other issues to reach the same conclusion. Thank you.
